Starlight Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Wow...she is a beaut isnt she?! Correct me if I am wrong (I usually am :P) but I thought all EA6-B's were flown by Marines... I also had doubts about it... but yes you're wrong ;) I don't know the situation right now, but in one book I have there are the markings of all Prowler squadrons in service (approximately in 1990-91) and there were 12 USN squadrons against a single USMC squadron (VMAQ-2 Playboys). I also thought there were more USMC squadrons, attached to CAGs as they were needed... but I was wrong too ;)
Fudd Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 One of my good friends worked at NAS Whidbey Island on EA-6B's. Some of the squadrons are jointly operated especially the training squadron. (I like all you Navy boys... every time we need to go somewhere and fight, you boys give us a ride ;) ) Here is a good website for all the squadrons located at NAS Whidbey Island. http://www.naswi.navy.mil/pao/Commands%20and%20%20Depts.htm Semper Fi The code is probaly in Russian anyway.
Fudd Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 The 4 VMAQ squadrons are located at MCAS Cherry Point. The website is http://www.2maw.usmc.mil/MAG14/default.asp The code is probaly in Russian anyway.
