zakobi Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 What do you think the tandem PAK-FA will come up with regarding cockpit positions. F-16/-18/-15 etc stile Or the more unique Su-27UB/-30 style?

Pilotasso Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Considerng how much the T-10 pit changed for the Su-27, it likely will not change much from what we see today. principal changes to the aircraft IMHo will be intakes, wing/LERX, and possibly internal bay. .
Vekkinho Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 In case of a rear facing radar don't you think the back seat rider should be facing backwards?!! LOL! 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
topol-m Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 In case of a rear facing radar don't you think the back seat rider should be facing backwards?!! LOL! Yeah and for a better visibility they should make a special cockpit for him on the tail  [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
X-man Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 (edited) In case of a rear facing radar don't you think the back seat rider should be facing backwards?!! LOL! Maybe add the harpoon... topol-m Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 ^^^ Lol first the R2D2 behind the cockpit, now that... The constructors of this aircraft have been watching too many Sci-fi. :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mikoyan Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 (edited) whel those crazy japanese are going to came up with something like this one day: so that harpoon could be useful! then sukhoi would have to develop this: Edited February 26, 2010 by mikoyan 1
jerom1992 Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I think the next poster will include this characters in his post: an O and a T
topol-m Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 OT :D The mech has too high profile to be functional, too bad cause it would be a great sight. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
maobingyishen Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 It's not really OT because both Gundam and VFs has amazine SA concept, even if all radar systems fails, they still has DAS like F35 and extream fast turn rate for WVR engagment.
LupinYonder Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 this is epic off topic and I love it. Maybe I should start a macross Plus thread and start comparing it to RL YF-23 22 competition.
Antartis Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) 21:4301/03/2010 Multimedia Photo:Russia's prototype fifth-generation fighter and its predecessors Infographics:The T-50 fifth-generation fighter Video:Russia's fifth-generation fighter conquers the skies Russia's fifth-generation jet fighter, the T-50, is to undergo more than 2,000 flight tests before full-scale production starts, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said Monday. "Before the jet goes into production, it should complete over 2,000 test flights," Putin said. He also said now that Russia had a fifth-generation prototype fighter, it should start working on a new-generation long-range strategic bomber that he described as "an airborne missile-carrier." A source at the Sukhoi aircraft maker said earlier in the day the T-50 would start on a standard flight test program in April, adding it would take "several years" to complete the testing program. A prototype of the fighter made a 47-minute maiden flight in Russia's Far East on January 29. Russia has been developing its newest fighter since the 1990s. The current prototype was designed by the Sukhoi design bureau and built at a plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, in Russia's Far East. It will be delivered to the Russian Air Force from 2015 onwards. Russian officials have already hailed the fighter as "a unique warplane" that combines the capabilities of an air superiority fighter and attack aircraft. The Tupolev aircraft maker said last year that a new-generation strategic bomber would be developed by 2017, while production should start in 2020 to 2025. However, Maj. Gen. Anatoly Zhikharev, commander of Russia's strategic aviation said a new strategic bomber, which would use stealth technology, was expected to enter service in 2025-2030. The new bomber will replace three aircraft currently in service with Russia's strategic aviation, the Tu-95MC Bear and Tu-160 Blackjack strategic bombers, introduced in 1956 and 1980, respectively, and Tu-22M3 Backfire long-range bombers, which first flew in 1972. source http://en.rian.ru/russia/20100301/158056158.html 18:2801/03/2010 Russia's fifth-generation jet fighter, the T-50, will start a standard flight test program in April, a source at the Sukhoi aircraft maker said on Monday. Vekkinho Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I've noticed in some Sukhoi videos on simulators that graphics are similar to LOFC1.12! Not in this case but Su-35 simulator look exactly LOFC like! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Boberro Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 It looks for me for Falcon oO Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
