He is way close check at the end of vid on landing

When I say close, my thinkin is with testing a brand new fighter you sort of want to limit things that can potentially go wrong.

They were closer tham 100m thats for sure

I'm curious, why do Russian combat aircraft, even the most modern ones like this still rely heavily on drogue chutes upon landing?

Do their brakes overheat quickly or something?

Just straight answers please, no joking or sarcasms around ;)

Chute means can land on shorter airfield. Austere landing grounds seem to be a big part of former Soviet doctrine, and has carried through to today.

Now, is it just me or are those exhausts angled a bit to the Left (#1ENG) and Right (#2ENG)????

If so, would that be to compensate for dissimitry of trust if one engine fails?

Would be quite smart.

I read that mig-29 pilots use the parachute to slow down the airplane until 170Km/h -+ (the speed could be less I'm not sure) that way they reduce the load on the brakes and tires.

The chute is probably for short and/or slippery runways, otherwise you can just aerobrake to that speed on the ground.
