Thanks for your track. The loft was modified in December to solve issues of the same kind. It looks like it still needs some tweaking.

In the video below, a first Kh-25ML goes straight to the target while the second one loft hard. It seems that both missiles hit their target. I don't know how to explain such a big difference in these two launches. Does the Frogfoot have some Loft/No-loft switch? Does it depend on the current altitude? That's a mystery.

I'll test more then report to devs.

There is no loft switch. I have found no answer in documentation other then how the loft profile works.

Thank you for your response, and I extend my deepest respect for the contributions you have made to DCS!

I think i read something a long time ago that if you launch 2 missiles in a short periode of time the second missile lofts to avoid the smoke to interfene / block the laserbeam.. i cannot find this info anymore though

I can't remember where exactly I read it or whether it's just a DCS thing.

but in lvl flight the loft is activated and when pointing at the target it is deactivated

That's what I thought, but it does not seem to be always true, neither in this video nor in DCS (but maybe it's about being 1° below or above the threshold).

This would make a lot of sense. Interesting because the loft is so optimized to also avoid air defenses in the final terminal phase.

I'm having the same problem with both KH-25ML and KH-29L when launched from Su-25 (Not Su-25T).

It not always happens. I have tried to reproduce this bug in a completely new mission and I wasn't able to succeed. But in a mission which was created a lot of versions ago and which was always working well, this problem appears from time to time. It looks like, it depends on altitude and launch angle, but I wasn't able to figure out when exactly and why it happens.

By the way. The AI behavour was changed again. And now when my wingman lands it won't take off again even that it starts the engines. It was never reload weapons and refuel but at least it was taking off for another sortie. But now it won't and it blocks allied group taxi, because it's engine is on. It never was like this, only after the last update.

Thanks to your reminder, I just tried launching the Kh-29L from the Su-25T, and the same issue occurred.

What? I've never seen that. When did they implement this?

Cheers!

Sarcasm accepted. But this was true until the previous version, at least for FC 2024 planes. If I wasn't command to my Su-25 wingman to return to base, it was landing with me, turning off it's engines. But after I was refueling, rearming and taking off again. My wingman was starting it's engines, driving reverse (yes I know its impossible on Su-25 but it was doing it) to the taxiway, then taxing agan to the runway, taking off and joining me. It wasn't able to stay in the sky for to long because it was never refueling and rearming. But it was able to shoot a couple of ground targets before reporting "bingo". Then I was commanding it to return to base.

But after the previous version, my wingman turning on it's engines but not driving reverse to the taxiway and its blocking the taxiway for allied group because it's engines running. I was able to take control of it by pressing "LAlt + J" and then got back to my plane the same way. After that it started taxing again. But it just taxied to other parking slot, and stayed there with its engines turned on. But at least I unblocked the alied group of planes.

I wasn't able yet to test this behaviour in the latest (current version). I was able to only test the KH-29L and KH-25ML missiles. Which looks like worked well. So may be they were fixed? Still need more testing.
