I'd like to ask how many of us are flying Apache with what type of joystick base.

Microsoft SW FFB2. Haven't decided which FFB upgrade I'll get. Might get the Moza as a stopgap, before I choose between FFBeast or VPForce.

IMO the primary consideration should be the maturity and configurability of the software, not necessarily the base itself. Choose wisely, my friend 😊

On topic: I'm using a VPForce Rhino.

I like how the early results of the poll show 50% of users (4 out of 8 votes) are running a FFB setup.

Sounds like a bunch of FFB elitists rushing in to make sure everyone knows how awesome their setup is.  And yes, I am also running a VPForce. 😉

I've 2 solutions.

1.Virpil warbird D with a short extension and F18 stick. Springs and a little cam resistance.

2. Komodo Apache with dampers. (Just had to have the irl cyclic). Nicely sensitive, light holds dead stick positions nicely. Purchased it before the Apache released.

FFB is a game changer for rotary, so wouldn't be surprised if this poll is skewed compared to one on a fixed-wing sub.

I am not sure what You mean by "skewed", could You elaborate please?

It's possible that DCS helo pilots use force feedback at a higher percentage of the user base than fixed wing does, which may give some non-representative numbers.

Doesn't necessarily matter, but may give the impression that there are a lot more FFB users in DCS than there really are. For instance, there are not a lot of Rhino's in existence, but you have numerous users of them in this thread.

VKB STECS Max (I pull throttle to me for collective - meaning reversed from fixed wing setup) and VKB NXT EVO Space Combat grip premium (with springs left in).  Along with VKB rudder pedals (also with springs left in).  Center trim option.

If You did not noticed, this poll is not addressed to all, but strictly to the Apache pilots.
I hope, that others respondents have noticed it and those not flying Apache did not took part in it.
