darkman222 Posted Friday at 07:50 AM Posted Friday at 07:50 AM (edited) As title says. The Targeting Pod does not want to point track or laser track a moving train. Even worse, the closer you get while trying to get a track the TGP even jumps off by 1000 - 3000 ft. But the jump could also be a separate bug as I think I remember seeing it with "trackable" objects too. See track file attached. Note: This is not a civilian traffic train. This one has been created with the mission editor and is assigned to move along waypoints. So its destruction could be a viable mssion goal. Edit: Uploaded a new trackfile without mods ( Had a mod vehicle to observe the train) tgp does not track train_noMods.trk Edited Friday at 08:10 PM by darkman222 2

Mods can have/create problems as DCS evolves... Have you tried without the mod?
Slippa Posted Friday at 10:16 AM Posted Friday at 10:16 AM They really ought to be destructible. We should be able to destroy rails and bridges, derail trains and or blow them to bits. Of course, if this was ever sorted I’d be posting forevermore pleading for a Hawker Typhoon. I knew someone that flew them. He saw the end of the war as a POW after flying into frag from the train he’d just attacked. Now that I think of it… Can we have our Typhoons now please? So we can attack the fixed train network? Please? Thank you 1
speed-of-heat Posted Friday at 12:37 PM Posted Friday at 12:37 PM Here is a track of the TGP failing to track a Naval Target ( I forgot to disarm the blighter, so some E&E was required) Failure to track Naval target.trk SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
darkman222 Posted Friday at 08:13 PM Author Posted Friday at 08:13 PM @speed-of-heat I took control of your track file, could not track the ship either. But I created a simple single player file with a small ship and a big ship. I could track both with TGP. Issue does not seem to be related. @cesarferrolho That mod was a vehicle I used to observe the train. Uploaded a track without mods in my first post (edited) Issue pesists. 1
