Working HUD

This is great. I would like to see the construction of this device. I will need one whin I go to 2-3 projectors surounding me. A real hud would be nice to have.

Home built PC Win 10 Pro 64bit, MB ASUS Z170 WS, 6700K, EVGA 1080Ti Hybrid, 32GB DDR4 3200, Thermaltake 120x360 RAD, Custom built A-10C sim pit, TM WARTHOG HOTAS, Cougar MFD's, 3D printed UFC and Saitek rudders. HTC VIVE VR.

Wow! :clap_2:Can you explain thoughtfully how you have accomplished this, including bore-sighting the device?

Yepp, i'm also planning 3 projectors arround me in the future. Hope you'll share the secrets. Awesome work !

 

EDIT: Uuups, i see your banner a bit late. Buying on wouldn't be that bad also.....

I don't think he is going to tell you guys how he does this. They sell the huds and other gauges last time i saw the site working a hud was $1200.00 4x what my real one cost. But ya never know

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

somewhere else i saw that if you can send the data to an old CRT 14" monitor,

then you place it upside down and using lens you "project" the data to a piece of glass(HUD).

If i find this i will post it....looked good, pretty easy and cheap.

The author was saying that the only problem was if the B.S. would have HUD data export..........

Impressive. Really nice.

 

But what would make me really happy, is to see simmeter back in business with a new Eastern Block MIL instrument suite dedicated to the Ka-50 and working with DCS BS ans their Workspace 2.0 software. I'll be the first to buy that!! My pit is kinda depending on it actually.
