Flyingaustrich Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 (edited) Hell, this is great !! Yepp, i'm also planning 3 projectors arround me in the future. Hope you'll share the secrets. Awesome work ! EDIT: Uuups, i see your banner a bit late. Buying on wouldn't be that bad also..... Greetings Edited July 26, 2009 by Flyingaustrich
Deadman Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I don't think he is going to tell you guys how he does this. They sell the huds and other gauges last time i saw the site working a hud was $1200.00 4x what my real one cost. But ya never know https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Flyingaustrich Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 (edited) Yepp. that'a bit to expensive, just for me. But good to see that it's possible. :) Edited July 26, 2009 by Flyingaustrich
stelios2000 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 (edited) somewhere else i saw that if you can send the data to an old CRT 14" monitor, then you place it upside down and using lens you "project" the data to a piece of glass(HUD). If i find this i will post it....looked good, pretty easy and cheap. The author was saying that the only problem was if the B.S. would have HUD data export.......... Flyingaustrich Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 May be a micro LED Beamer would also do the job. "Divstar" minibeamer for example. Not to expensive and doesen't waste to much place. Hmmm, i like this idea. :music_whistling: Greetings
BaD CrC Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Impressive. Really nice. But what would make me really happy, is to see simmeter back in business with a new Eastern Block MIL instrument suite dedicated to the Ka-50 and working with DCS BS ans their Workspace 2.0 software. I'll be the first to buy that!! My pit is kinda depending on it actually. https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden
stelios2000 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 (edited) using this idea...... the author did this.... Has to be CRT..only this works only with CRT .... Edited July 27, 2009 by stelios2000
