RedTiger Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Hey all! In case anyone's interested, there's an interview at SimHQ about an upcoming patch to IL2 and an interview with Oleg. There's some crazy stuff in the works. Triggers for the mission builder and RADAR for the F-110 G4 are not the least of them! http://simhq.com/_air13/air_420a.html
Distiler Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 il2 owns. Amazing stuff for an old but amazing simulator. AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
-Nighthawk- Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Very nice, just when I thought the game had died (PC) :) IL-2 / Pacific Fighters was the first flight simulation game that got me hooked. Saw it in a PC store one day and began to play it (only occasionally played FS2000 since then) I was absolutely blown away by the game for graphics / sound / simulation / fun factor. So a credit to them.
crazyeddie Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Il2/Pacific Fighters - Great game, great Mission Builder. I too had thought it was deceased, nice to hear there might be more.
Distiler Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Community has been always high as the old times, il2 has not died by any means. In fact in most aspects it kicks more asses than years ago. AMD Ryzen 1400 // 16 GB DDR4 2933Mhz // Nvidia 1060 6GB // W10 64bit // Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
CE_Mikemonster Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 It's all good news on the simming front lately! :) Too many cowboys. Not enough indians. GO APE SH*T
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Yeah if you figure in the thriving mod community after the game was cracked and the sim has never been better. I still prefer the stock game as I don't like messing with the mods (no reason other than just too lazy to actually try them) so I'm definitely looking forward to this! http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
Safari Ken Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 There are mods for IL-2? I friggin love that game, and have had it consistently installed since it came out in 2001, and I also love goofing with community-made mods for most games, but I have to say I never even thought to look for any for IL-2. No need for them!
Feuerfalke Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Great to hear the game is alive and kickin' and it's also good news Oleg found a crew to further support IL2, while he and his team can concentrate on SoW. MSI X670E Gaming Plus | AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | 64 GB DDR4 | AMD RX 6900 XT | LG 55" @ 4K | Cougar 1000 W | CreativeX G6 | TIR5 | CH HOTAS (with BU0836X-12 Bit) + Crosswind Pedals | Win11 64 HP | StreamDeck XL | 3x TM MFD
