I noticed the new Full Fidelity MIG-29 does not have the visual wingflex. The FC3 variant did have a realistic looking wingflex. What happened here? Is the flexing also coming to the new Fulcrum? It's a new 3D model. The wing flex is planned to come later in the development [from Wags comment]. 1 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 MiG-29A F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria

For helmet both sensors will try to lock and first to lock becomes primary. Since IRST only looks 30 degrees to the side, that means you only have radar for helmet locking (other then R-73) from 30-60 degrees off the nose. Hello mate! I havent figured out how to release the R-73 beyond 30° off the nose. If i use the HELM mode i can use the IRST within its 30° gimbal limit. The manual says -"R73 missiles can be launched without releasing the lockon button, but the target must the tracked via the HMD"- That means for me i just look with the HMD to the target without locking it. Just like in the F16 or F18. I´am used to get a sidewinder growl noise when directing via hmd to a heat source. This can be either the sun or an airplane. I´am always stuck with the IRST in helmet mode. What am i doing wrong here?' Settings are default. Radar to ILLUM, COOP switch in no retard position. Edited 8 hours ago by Oberst Struppi

From 0-30 degrees off nose IRST locks. From 31-45 only R-27. You can tell because you get no dashed circle only dashed crosshair. But 46-60 degrees nothing will work on HMS unless ( right now), R-73 only works 45 degrees off boresight but helmet can do up to 60 Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com
Oberst Struppi Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Do you get the sidewinder growling sound? What are your settings with the R73 in HELM mode? Radar ILLUM? The main question for me is. Is it possible to control the r73s seekerhead with your hmd just like you can do in the F16/18. Edited 5 hours ago by Oberst Struppi
Schmidtfire Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) What is a bit confusing, at the moment, is that the HMS sight symbology is displayed where there is no possibility to get a lock. What I have found during testing: The IRST (OEPS-29) has good upwards elevation capability. Keep the target above the canopy rail and you should get a fast and easy lock. For targets directly Left or Right of the aircraft: the limit to achieve lock is around the canopy rail* *This limit is a bit confusing if you are familiar with F-16C and F/A-18C Targets over canopy = good locking ability Targets to the side of canopy = limited locking ability Edited 4 hours ago by Schmidtfire
