Gunfreak Posted May 28 Posted May 28 For almost a week now I thought my DCS got broken by the last patch, missions I ran fine before the patch now get 7FPS I thought it was DCS. But it appears to be a CWG only problem. This mission ran at 70FPS in VR before the last patch, now it runs at 6-10FPS in 2d Fulda3.miz Here I placed 500 T-72s on Kola I choose Kola as it not the best optimized map max settings, I get 120FPS locked in 2D as 500 tanks drive over the plateau kola test.miz Here the same 500 T-72s on CWG and the FPS goes to 5-10FPS in 2D. temp test.miz Something changed on the CWG map in the last patch that massively increased how much system is used for AI movement over the map. I hope Ugra can find out what they changed on the map in the last patch that caused this 3 i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.

Gunfreak Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 This has not been fixed with the latest patch. But it didn't say anything about it in the notes, so didn't except a fix. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted May 30 ED Team Posted May 30 correct, we are still investigating this internally. Any fixes would have been mentioned in the change log. This issue doesnt seem a simple one and will require more investigation. thanks 2 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? mosshunt Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I get the same outcome with CWG on my machine (5950x), other maps mine are PG and Syria seem to work normally.

General: It's normal that not all of them are listed in the changelog, I've encountered this several times. The changelog cannot be relied upon.
dotbmp Posted June 1 Posted June 1 This issue is still present however. It seems to be when travelling on roads, I had some units just moving across ground “off road” and it went okay. 512th Virtual Tac. Ftr. Sqn. - The Dragons (EU)
Steinsch Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Not only pathfinding breaks the performance, but it causes synchronization issues among players at mission load in multiplayers. I have a mission with 200 armored units moving west, divided into 10 groups, line abreast or vee formation. Since the last patch, players have not been able to see each other moving at the airfield. They'd see their teammates stuck at spawn points. The same mission, with 50% fewer units, and no formation requirement (just the default offroad), and the sync problem goes away. 1 Steinsch Flying Virtual F-15s since 1989 YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/c/CommanderSteinsch

Has there been any progress on the investigation into this issue?
Biggus Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Hopefully this will be fixed soon. I've had to remove moving ground vehicles from my missions altogether. The performance hit is too great.
