Gunfreak Posted June 3 Posted June 3 F-4 has been out for about a year now, however the shaking of the F-4 in singe player track is still as bad as it always was. Is there any ETO on when this can be cleared up? 1 i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
Zabuzard Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Can you check in the mission editor the "Reference Aircraft" checkbox and see if it still shakes then? 1

Nealius Posted June 8 Posted June 8 The shaking is caused by desync between the sim and the position update, with the position update overriding what the sim wants to make the aircraft do. I've noticed engaging the autopilot will almost always cause it, though I've seen high-G (7-8G) maneuvers briefly cause it as well until the sim/position info agree with each other again. It seems to happen with the Phantom moreso than with any other module. Close second would be the Mi-24 and Mi-8.
Zabuzard Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Yeah but the aircraft behavior should be deterministic within the same DCS version. So I am thinking what the cause could be. Perhaps its the Wear/Tear/Condition system, which is why I am asking to see if it gets better with "Reference Aircraft" selected
Nealius Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Ah, would that wear/tear/condition system generate different levels of wear-and-tear between the live flight and the replay?

It isnt supposed to. But if it gets better after checking that "Reference Aircraft" option then it most likely does and then thats something we can potentially fix. Edited June 8 by Zabuzard 2

Finally got around to checking (been to busy with the other F4. But using that does not help at all. Aircraft shake violently during tracks. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
Zabuzard Posted yesterday at 01:20 PM Posted yesterday at 01:20 PM Can you send the track? Perhaps you are doing a coldstart and forgot to do the Jester Wheel again while the track replays (leading to you flying around with a cold machine, engines off).

It was an air start nam dogfight-20250802-113941.trk It requires the ww2 marianas map i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
SgtPappy Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I have a track of the same thing that happens as soon as the nose-wheel leaves the ground. Of the few MP tracks that work for me, the F-4 always vibrates. I have one track from CCW, and the take-off is shown within the first 10-15 mins, but it's too big for here so I had to upload it to a file hosting site: https://limewire.com/d/3yK3T#kLHyhZKaIY I can try a SP track and see if that does anything.

That sounds like you are doing something that requires the use of the HB UI though (for example cold start, crew chief interactions). Those are not captured by tracks and need to be redone manually while the track plays. Otherwise you are leaving the ground with the engines off, hence the aircraft will want to depart down but then gets teleported back by EDs "move on rails" track-system. Which is what leads to visual jitter. Btw, please make sure you test tracks before sharing them. Most tracks (especially if not short and singleplayer) dont really work and then they arent useful for us. If you got some spare time and could redo it on Caucasus that would be very helpful Edited 5 hours ago by Zabuzard
