julpeuz Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Hi guys, Virpil force feedback is finally coming, I was so excited I had to share for those who might have missed it. https://www.instagram.com/p/DK909LMx6c5/?igsh=MWcxdDQyNml6N3FxbA== 4 2 i7 13700KF - RTX 4080 OC - 64Gb 5600 DDR5 - Samsung 980 Pro 2Tb Virpil CM3 base - Virpil WarBRD / V.F.X. grip w/ 30cm extension - Virpil Control Panel 1 & 3 x2 - Virpil Interceptor rudder pedals w/ damper - Quest 3 F4U-1D - P51D - P47D - Mosquito - Spitfire MkIX - Bf109K4 - FW190A8 - M2000C - F86 Normandy 2 - The Channel - WWII assets pack
Mr_sukebe Posted June 17 Posted June 17 That’s a BIG extension, so it’s most probably got a LOT of grunt to take account of the potential leverage. Any idea what the seat is? 2 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat

Any idea what the seat is? Yeah that’s what I thought as well about the 20cm extension, hopefully it’s not just for the picture ! Not sure about the seat, but I’ve seen Next Level Racing release a new ‘MSFS Edition cockpit’ that looks like this one even though the colors don’t match : https://youtu.be/Hf2wYF7PnsI?si=AhR3_rKktcBpnocH My guess is we’re gonna have to wait at least a year before release of their force feedback base though, but I’m glad we have some sort of confirmation they’re working on it. What a wonderful time we’re living in. 1 i7 13700KF - RTX 4080 OC - 64Gb 5600 DDR5 - Samsung 980 Pro 2Tb Virpil CM3 base - Virpil WarBRD / V.F.X. grip w/ 30cm extension - Virpil Control Panel 1 & 3 x2 - Virpil Interceptor rudder pedals w/ damper - Quest 3 F4U-1D - P51D - P47D - Mosquito - Spitfire MkIX - Bf109K4 - FW190A8 - M2000C - F86 Normandy 2 - The Channel - WWII assets pack

Mr_sukebe Posted June 17 Posted June 17 (edited) The seat is a Simfab unit. Here's one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364747761321?var=634319885241 Don't order from the above link. Apparently it's shipped from Bulgaria, which does make me wonder... Let me get my tape measure out. I've no idea if it'll fit. I'm currently using an MX5 seat on an aluminium profile base. Should be viable. Looks more comfortable than the NLR seat. Smashy Posted June 17 Posted June 17 I've got a Simfab setup and love it. When planning my setup, Simfab went way beyond what I was expecting in helping me pick the right parts for my gear. I highly recommend giving them a call or dropping them an email if you have any questions at all. I know this sounds like an ad for Simfab but I'm just a really happy customer, nothing more. 1

Thanks for the feedback. If they had a UK distributor, I'd probably be ordering one right now. Unfortunately, they don't even quote on the website about the shipping cost from the US. 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
Wostg Posted June 18 Posted June 18 (edited) I bought the seat above, delivered to the UK within 2 weeks no fuss, even the postie was nice delivering it. No extra fees than what's charged at checkout etc. Edited June 18 by Wostg I can think of nothing heavier than an airplane I can think of no greater conglomerate of steel and metal I can think of nothing less likely to fly

Yes they can - it just might take a bit. It took 6 weeks for my R1-Falcon pedals to arrive and that’s a brand new product, so this is likely a worst case scenario. My Rhino took 8 months between order and delivery: it doesn’t mean it’s not worth ordering. 2 Spoiler Ryzen 7 9800X3D | 96GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo DDR5-6000 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X870E-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 990Pro 4TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero VPC MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | VPC CM3 throttle | VPC CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | VPC R1-Falcon pedals with damper | Pro Flight Trainer Puma OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings Win11 Pro 24H2 - VBS/HAGS/Game Mode ON

No, I didn't say it was not worth it, as their stuff is second to none...If you believe that an eight month wait is acceptable for a game controller, great as it is worth it, just not for me...Six weeks is way too long for me as well..In a day and age of overnight and sometimes same day delivery is the norm seems a bit out of the norm to wait for them to build it then send it..My special order Ford Raptor only took four weeks...Just sayin... If that's done so quickly, it doesn't sound so special, but them "special order" doesn't say much, I once "special ordered" a tremolo but it was only special because it was a low turnover item that wouldn't be refundable Intel I5 13600k / AsRock Z790 Steel Legend / MSI 4080s 16G Gaming X Slim / Kingston Fury DDR5 5600 64Gb / Adata 960 Max / HP Reverb G2 v2 Virpil MT50 Mongoost T50 Throttle, T50cm Base & Grip, VFX Grip, ACE Interceptor Rudder Pedals w. damper / WinWing Orion2 18, 18 UFC & HUD, PTO2, 2x MFD1 / Logitech Flight Panel / VKB SEM V / 2x DIY Button Box

Well, the Ford Raptor is supposedly 'inspired' by an airplane: https://www.torquenews.com/9539/2021-ford-f-150-raptor-takes-flight-fighter-jet-inspired-design I'm not seeing it, but then again, I'm not a BS'er* like the designer seems to be. *Bachelor of Sacrilege

Aapje Posted June 27 Posted June 27 The latest teaser gave a 2026 date, so you need to wait longer still. We'll at best get a reveal at FSExpo, not a release. 2
Vakarian Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Hopefully they go sensible with the pricing. WW already announced their bases with the pricing (although no availability yet) so if they go a lot higher, sales might suffer. FFB is not something that's necessary for most of the most popular FW modules, so realistically they are applicable to WW2 and helos. People who fly them seriously are smaller subgroup in the flightsim community.... I mean, they do build good stuff and for some odd 100-ish euro premium vs e.g. WW or VKB stuff people might lean for Virpil stuff. But if that something is at or over 1000 mark, people will think twice as that's not small amount of money. 2
Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) Economy of scale comes into the play here. If VPForce can provide one at €800 (prior to taxes and shipping), much larger companies such as Virpil should be able to make their model much more affordable. 35 minutes ago, Vakarian said: so realistically they are applicable to WW2 and helos Anything non-FBW really. And we have plenty of Cold War FW modules either released or in the pipeline.
