Virpil grips are probably closest to Russian /Soviet aircraft, though they are meant to be a representation and not a 1-to-1 copy.

The T-50CM2 and the new FLNKR grip are both nice products.

VKB MCG is Russian themed

https://flightsimcontrols.com/product/modern-combat-grip-ultimate-edition/

they do a plastic non-ultimate version as well

The VKB MCG is actually a copy of the Su-35 stick so it's the most Russian.

As can be seen here

Hi,

I received the FLKR Grip from Virpil a few days ago. If you want to buy it, keep in mind that it's not for small/petite hands. It's considerably more substantial than the Warthog Grip.

Cool - wasn't sure how closely it had been modelled to a real one.

I love mine. Being able to change some of the buttons/hats/sticks around is great to make it how you want it too.

As much as i understand to desire a true to real replica think about how you want to map as many buttons to your hotas as possible. Reallife planes tend to important switches somewhere inside the cockpit instead of the hotas. The fulcrum actually has very little hotas capabilities. (And the hornet as well, that one relies heavily on the mfd's)

So in order to fly those planes efficiently it's a smart thing to bind knobs for radarmanipulation, or mfd osb's to your hotas as well. And therefore want as many buttons as possible. Especially when flying in vr...

Agreed - my MCG has 5 4-way+push hats plus other buttons. I'm sure the real aircraft don't have that but I use all of them a lot of the time 😄

There are also some egg heads like me who value simulation more than game play comfort so if something is not on the RL HOTAS it's not bound to my HOTAS either. It's fine if it lands on the base buttons though as you still have to take one hand away from the grip. Everything else is mouse and keys.

I do the same thing, I am also an egg head

Mouse on the ground ok, in the air entirely not. Keys are also not a thing due to vr.

Unless its something like rearm/refuel which i have on backspace. Thats easy to find blindly 😉

I find mouse ok for most of the flight time. Of course I'm not clicking around during dogfight.

Many keys are easy to find because of the keyboard layout and keys' shapes.

I can see both arguments but in VR a few extra critical bindings make a big difference.
