Simshaker latest Beta has the Corsair

I haven’t used my ForceFeel in a few years: two of the motors stopped working, and sitting on that pad for prolonged periods of time was starting to become too painful for my scrawny behind 😬

Yes, but as I said, it seems telemetry is missing, the bird shakes like hell just flying it with no real ability to minimize the shake(unlike in the other warbirds) and there is no or very little feeling when dropping bombs, firing guns or anything really, the thing shakes so much, during normal flight, I can't feel if it even reacts to gears and flaps.

i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.

Which version of Beta you have?

There was one that acted weird, this latest one is good.

So if you change values here nothing happens?

Yes it does. If it doesn't for you, you've missed something.

I'm not very knowledgeable on TelemFFB. I just turn it on, boot up the game (DCS in this case) and play. It shows F4U-1D as the 'current aircraft', and my stick doesn't move when I trim. Again, it and the BF 109 are the only two WW2 planes that don't. This is also the case when I don't use TelemFFB. Is there some setting that you can think of that I need to modify or something? Trim moves the stick for you without having touched any TelemFFB settings?

So far I've only tested the first beta version with support for the Corsair

The first beta version for the Corsair was bad.

Try the newest one

Once I had my curves dialled in after watching a few videos and also set up a slow trim option for the controls I managed to eliminate the nose bounce a lot from the plane and could fly it hands off when trimmed up, it felt so much nicer to fly.

After yesterdays patch it seems to have more power which has helped in the overall experience.

My FFB stick though still doesnt move as I trim the plane as others have said it should, I have a Rhino FFB stick.

Very interesting and helpful reading people’s comments on curves etc to improve the feel of the F4U.  Here’s what works for me with my 20 cm stick extension:

I notice some people dial in some saturation on the Y axis - I prefer not to do this as you lose the ability for full control deflection - but you need full back stick initially on take-off and nearly so for a three point landing.  You’ll also need full rudder for spin recovery.

I’ve just gone for a 25% positive curve for pitch, no saturation.

For the rudder I’ve been experimenting with some X saturation so I have less pedal travel when I need full rudder, but with a very flat 35% curve so it’s not too twitchy when adjusting balance finely for power changes - you have to do a lot of pedalling in this aircraft (or any piston single when approaching slowly on the back-side of the drag curve for a short-field/carrier landing, when power changes have to be frequent and significant).  So far so good for me - others may not get along with this.

For roll I’ve actually tried X saturation of 70% or 80%, with a negative curve of minus 10 or 15 - this is because I don’t like fiddling with aileron trim and it means that I can adjust for a wing low with only a slight movement - makes it easier on a landing approach.

Early days yet, but working for me so far.

Wait a minute! You have set curves on your FFB base? Try without and see if the stick moves when trimming then. DCS does NOT support curves with FFB, because the curves will never match with the actual linear stick position the FFB depends on.
Support for this has been requested in the general wishlist section. It might not be so noticeable in an airplane, but try it in a helicopter and the trim will ALWAYS be off.

Cheers!

Ah ok, that makes sense I'll try it.

TBH though I'd rather keep the curves than have the stick move with trimming as it's quite terrible to fly it without curves.

It's the only plane I have setup curves on, every other plane or helo I have don't have curves and works fine with the FFB

Come to think of it, many other people have reported the same, so I don't think that's the issue. While, when they eventually fix it, you might experience issues regarding trimmed position conflicting with the curves. But like I wrote, it's most noticeable in helicopters.

Cheers!
