Giggex Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM After last update, the Mosquito sounds the undercarriage horn since the start of the mission, in any configuration: cold and dark cockpit, start in the air, start at runway. Quite annoying. Only unofficial Mod installed: Community A-4E and Hercules. Using MT. 2
skybaby68 Posted yesterday at 01:38 AM Posted yesterday at 01:38 AM Yep same here. The noise is insane after a few mins. The best WW2 bird of DCS currently unflyable. Tried disabling all mods, tried at cold start, hot start, no difference & seemingly no way to rid of it. 3 i9 14900K - ROG Maximus Z790 Hero - GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4090 - 64GB Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 XMP - Samsung 4TB SSD - Pimax Crystal - Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle & Joystick - VirPil AH-64D Grip - Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals
Grundar Posted yesterday at 03:32 AM Posted yesterday at 03:32 AM No mods at all here, default install. Under carriage horn non-stop. 1
Bozon Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Anyone know the name of the sound file with the horn sound? If I find it I’ll replace it with silence. 1 “Mosquitoes fly, but flies don’t Mosquito” :pilotfly: - Geoffrey de Havilland. ... well, he could have said it!
Prorok Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Also I can affirm non-stop horn sound in C&D start, hot start, start in air. C&D start the horn sound will work as it must only after take off, when you gear up and throttle to idle position then in needed position 1 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
No.401_Wolverine Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Another confirmation of issue here. You can get it to turn off if you get airborne and then 0 the throttles and back up, but good luck getting airborne and still being sane enough at that stage to remember. 1
Ghost79 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Even after a fix for the horn being constantly 'on'. I'd like to see an option to disable it completely, very annoying sound. Youtube channel @Flightenvy680
Giggex Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago I do confirm that a good temporary solution is to take-off, retract the undercarriage and put throttles to idle, then to needed setting. The horn works as intended after this so far. But well, this is not really pleasant, especially if you have to go through the whole start-up procedure with that buzz in the ears. So, yes, let's hope that soon we'll have a thorough solution. 1
