I assume you all know that we do have Fletcher Class destroyer mods for the sim.....right??

Again mine works great, then on top of that, add a German Bismark which UNFORTUNATLY shows smoke and wake ONLY but guns fire shells just fine.  Now that is tons of naval shells water geysers and anti aircraft blankets going on all over the place on both sides.  Gives the illusion of one heck of a battle....  I have been blasted out of the sky every time and my Essex burning and sunk along with a few destroyers.  Just saying!!

The zero is the one made by @DOL, but it seems that it's for a land based zero, so it can't really be used with your carrier, I placed them there just for the photo 🙂

I think Dol's Zero is the main one, but its flight modeling is...suspect.

You can't outrun them.

You can't outclimb them.

You can't outdive them.

You can't outroll them.

Even the F4UFO AI can't fight them.

Seriously, the flight modeling is completely borked. At least the 190s you can actually get guns on.

By this stage in the war, the zero's weren't given enough fuel to return anyway, so who cares about tailhooks?

When Shinano was sunk, it only carried Ohka's in terms of flying materiel. They really didn't care about tail hooks.

Many of my missions are what-if ones, as following the real history is kind of boring (since we already know the outcomes) … in that environment I prefer a working carrier, no matter what its reality was.

I'm new to DCS and saved this to my DCS/Mods file like the posts specified.  But it's not loading into my Instant Mission Planner.  WHat am I doing wrong?

You mean the Quick Action Generator? ... try creating your mission with the Mission Editor instead:

Thanks Rudel.  Not working that way either.  I need to go back and see why my Mods aren't loading into the game.  I'll figure it out.

Hi BRONYA. It is a great mod, good job. I've modified the spawn to avoid the wings pass through. If you'r agree I can share the file.

I have been playing around with a Marianas ww2 scenario with 4 x FW-190's dressed as Zeros on the deck of the Shinano, but only the lead plane takes off, and then it sits in a near-stall at 80 knots and 55 ft off sea level, never retracting its gear, picking up speed or climbing. The other 3 never take off. Is there a setting I need to assign in the mission editor for them to behave properly?

mabe you should try increasing the carrier's speed to 28 knots and sailing into the wind, while also setting the aircraft to a ramp start state in the mission editor instead of a runway takeoff.

[edit] No change, the planes fly about 55ft abouve the water, nose up, struggling to reach more than 65 kts
