Is the Water Injected WEP modeled or not? (Question to the Devs)

I've been going through posts and replies back and forth and it seems there is no direct response from the Devs if the water injected WEP is modeled or not. A bunch of folks are simply guessing based off the the instruments' read outs and the devs are silent.

So a question to @-Rudel-:  can you please clarify:

- Is Water Injected WEP modeled ?

- if it is indeed Modeled:  how do you actually reliably engage it?

Once I have all the info from the programmers, I'll be making a small post update regarding WEP.

awesome, thank you very much, @-Rudel-, I appreciate a prompt response! 🙂

@-Rudel- If it IS modeled, could you have them confirm whether it's tied to throttle position or a separate on/off key press? That seems to be the other point of contention about WEP modeling.

According to today's change log, the WEP switch has been added. I suppose it's the "Enable Water Injection" switch. I see no effect though.

I assume it's still a work in progress type of a change. Based on Rudel's response above I feel they'll announce it when it's finished/starts working...

Yes I can see the effect when I'm at higher altitude. Expected something like MW50 in the German birds, but it's quite different.
I would appreciate a comprehensive guide for its use. The bits and pieces in the posts don't help me.

I did think that in the real aircraft, that simply pushing the throttle further forward enabled the water injection.  Is that not how the updated version works?

Rudel posted excerpt from manual indicating how it' supposed to work now (?) but I find it even more confusing really

It does, however they've added a switch to the circuit panel on the left side (the bank of fuses in front of of the throttle, the very first switch on the bottom row. Flip it up to enable the system) that turns the system on. After that, injection turns on with the throttle.

Ah, gotcha.  So it's acting a bit like an afterburner gate in say an F1.

Thanks
