Don't laugh, but DCS: Cessna 172 (or similar)

Two reasons

1.  I'd love to have a small, typical, GA aircraft so I can practise that type of flying without having to go to the hassle of installing and configuring that civil simulator.

2.  Just to see what the result would be if the bods at ED produced an aircraft of this type, esp the flight model.

Been suggested time and again. It's unlikely to happen. An O-1E would be nice (basically a Cessna 150 with a different cabin), but even that is probably going to be AI-only, if it's ever added.

You can already do both in the form of the tragic Yak-52 that's available.

Widely available at all FTOs near you.  😉 Only kidding.  I was going for something more ab initio.  And western.

Well, they'd get my money.  Which they haven't for quite some time as they keep producing stuff I don't want.

Wasn't there an april's fools Youtube video about a Cessna being anounced copying the same style as the official F35 official module? I thought it was from Veco Simulations (the ones doing the Talon mod) but either is not published anymore or I'm mistaken.

In any case, everytime this is suggested I think for myself that I might buy it just for fun, but I would prefer the fully analog 152 (and seeing how things are turning out with msfs... maybe in some time I cannot fly it there anymore)

EDIT: silly my, it was the first video on Veco Simulations' channel 😛 (it's at the end of the video, I though it was a standalone video about it, but no)

A Cessna might be fun for learning fundamental proficiency in flight procedures like ILS /Instrument flight etc. but not sure where the Combat part of DCS comes in.😎

DCS: R&R?  DCS: Retired Aviator?
