How to use ground weapons?

Has anyone managed to drop bombs on target in OPT and TOSS mode? I've tried everything and can't use it. I've looked at the manual, but to no avail. I guess I'll have to wait for the @Wags videos.

Make sure you have no R27s on your inner pylons, currently doesnt work if you do.

I've tried everything and I can't get bombs to drop properly and detonate, even when armed. I'll just have to wait for Wags' video. I've read the entire manual.

Dumb question. But you tried the air to ground - air to air switch right? 
 

You won’t get CCIP until it takes less then 6 degree pipper depression to hit target. Beyond that it’s only CCRP so has to be held

Yes, I switched from AA to AG. I followed the manual on pages 99 to 100, but without success. I'll wait for tutorial videos. Thank you!

Are you sure you have the right weapon set? Use only pre-made ED sets. A2G weapons cannot be mixed.

Don't mix it in mig-29. Not designed for that.

Yeah. One of the reasons Yugoslavia never operated T variant. With them attached. Radar would be useless

Also the original Fuse is set to 11.5 seconds on the FAB-500 make sure to look at that too.

The problem with the ground weapons was that I was mixing them up. Using the MiG-29A's original settings, I can launch.

Now my challenge is to hit the targets. In OPT mode, I have to activate the laser, but by the time I do, I'm already on top of the target and don't have time to activate, align, and release the bombs. I dive to over 10,000 feet.

I can't drop the cluster bombs.

That's where the laser comes in. It offers greater precision, but making it work is the problem.

I'm using the laser and following the manual exactly. Maybe there is something I'm missing or doing wrong but every drop is at least 300 meters short.

So he mixed up the weapons and it worked perfectly. The difference is that he didn't use aim calibration to increase attack accuracy, as the manual says on pages 99 and 100.

Pre designation doesn’t really increase accuracy per se

The only reason to do it is becuase it allows the WCS to compensate for wind or target movement. No wind and static target, no reason to do it

I'm really having trouble dropping bombs, even though I'm doing everything exactly as in the video. The bombs come out whenever they want and never land on their target. Either I'm doing something wrong, or there's a bug in the bomb drop. I can't drop cluster bombs either.

Just in case. Is the launch button "Missile Trigger - Fire"? The same one used for rockets to launch bombs?

Funnily enough the Viggen has the same issue, cant really mix loadouts. But for very different reasons; it being a complex, purpose built jet for specific A2G missions.

Hi @Wags and @ThorBrasil I think many of us in the community have missed  that the LOCK-ON botton must be used when doing manual bombing (!)
