Toto Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago (edited) For the last month have had nothing but problems with DCS. Spoke to other people, using DCS about the problems and most all of them said!!! Bad Drive. A week later after piddling around with DCS ordered a new drive from Amazon put the drive in and had the same problem with DCS???? Constant Sticking a Freezing which led to inevitable CTD. I am using a 13700K along with 64 gigs ram and a 4090 video card. Searched the Forums for a possible Answer did not get anything UNTIL I read about Parked Cores. Followed the video I PARKED all 16 of my cores and started DCS up again with all my mods in and WHAMMO!!!!!! OMG!!!! my DCS is as smooth as butter. My MSFS 2020 is also enjoying the cores being parked I can see it loads up in half the time. THANK YOU!!! who ever the person was that discovered Parked Cores. Hiob Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I think you got it a bit backwards, since parked cores are inactive cores and therefore detrimental to performance. You probably effectively disabled core parking by parking all cores.... But doesn't matter - whatever works, works! Enjoy DCS! 2 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"
Toto Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago The video I followed was to disable all parked cores. I understood that to be able to undo all parked cores. Make parked cores unparked and active. Now when I open my Task Manager and go to Resource Manager it shows that all my cores are now active!!!!! None of them are parked. I have no idea what you are talking about??????
Hiob Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Never mind. Maybe I’m just a bit confused by your wording. It works now, and that’s the main objective. 1 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"

Toto Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Ok np. Yes DCS works great now. Just like it used too before this major update we got. I think INTEL Systems did not like the update. No more sticking and stuttering and ctd ing now. Have no idea what happened to DCS but my system used to play it with no problems. When ED changed the start program 3 or 4 months back to this new program that we are all using that is when all my problems started. Don't know what happened but my DCS went to hell in hand basket. All fixed now since I unparked the cores OH OH OH OH OH i READ my original post and in one paragraphI I said I PARKED ALL MY CORES Sorry sorry sorry my MISTAKE i meant to say UNPARKED !!!!!! im a idiot Edited 2 hours ago by Toto 2

Start program as in the Launcher? It's completely optional. I turned if off after my 1st boot when it was introduced.
