YoYo Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) I know, this will probably be low priority, but maybe it's two lines of code for your talented programmers :). Turning off the Info bar for VR and 2D at the same time using the keyboard. Description of the problem: currently, when switching to 2D view, the info bar (at the bottom) is always visible. We can, of course, turn it off by pressing "Ctrl+Y" twice, and then we can enjoy full screen on external view in DCS. The problem, however, is that if we record a track from this, playing it back in VR will... turn on the info bar, which is always off initially in the external view at the beginning. It's simply the other way around. Therefore, it's impossible to show exactly the same thing in the track for 2D and VR users, because turning it off in 2D causes it to appear in VR (and this is quite an important aspect for people creating missions or campaigns like me or @Reflected, @baltic_dragon ect. if you use your own tracks). Unfortunately, this breaks the immersion. My suggestion is to add a new function, for example, under the "Shift+Ctrl+Y" shortcut, that turns off the info bar in 2D and also in VR in the same time. Is there any chance of this happening? MAXsenna Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago @YoYo Great idea, and they could add an option in the general settings that we can have it off by default in any view. Cheers! 2

Cheers! Yes, but the point here is to force the info bar to be displayed on the track regardless of user settings. The shortcut will work this way regardless of the settings. Thanks. Another option in the mission settings (in Editor) is the new Force Info bar tab for 2D and VR - as On and Off (using a checkmark). 1 Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 5090 32Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro
Ironhand Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Or, simpler, just make the default setting in 2D be “Off”. It’s off by default in the cockpit. Do the same for 2D external. 1 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 11 Pro x64, Asrock Z790 Steel Legend MoBo, Intel i7-13700K, MSI RKT 4070 Super 12GB, Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB.
