Good one Kuky. It would have been cool if you had your comms played back as well since you guys are good at that. El Diablo has that vid with comms in the background and it makes for a realistic feel. Nice work. 10 mins too!

Yeah I fully agree Crunch, Dubb was recording comms that time and I recorded a track... if I get him to give me the vent recording I might add that too.

C2Duo 8500 @3.8GHz

ATI 4890 1GHz

4GB DDR2 1600MHz

er... rest is not really important.

 

I guess it's smooth recording because I recorded at 1/2 speed and set Fraps to record at 30fps. Speed up when rendering (and I have to admit somewhere I left it at 1/2 speed as it looks better, and one occasion or two I just forgot it :music_whistling:)

 

Also Youtube lets you upload a video up to 10min and 2GB in size... my one was done in mpeg-4 (what they recomended) and it was just over 99MB in size... by the way the avi format was 2.17GB :smartass:

Good video, I like the recording effort. The only thing that I would have to point out for next time is that the heavy music(A.K.A. Rammstein) should only be played once the shooting starts, and should not let up until the last shot is fired. Use the transition time between the F/A-18C fight, and the F-14A fight to calm the audience with soothing music. Also the landing at the end should be accompanied with some light electronic/orchestral music. In my honest opinion, the last song you played was a bit too dark and bassy for the situation as you should want people to be relieved that the aircraft made it back safely. Armin Van Buuren's "Precious" comes to mind.

 

Other than that though, good work. Especially on the formation take-off's :)

Mastiff, another trick you can use is to set your Lock On in game resolution to something lower like 800x600 etc. before recording to Fraps your track playback. Since normally you finish off with a smaller video you might not mind the video being smaller when it's recorded and it much easier on the FPS than 1920 x 1200 say. Make sure you use the correct screen ratio 1.3 or 1.6.

Nice choice of Crystal Method - but that track has an overly long intro and didn't even get started by the time the action was finished!
