dooom Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 1. Is there an enemy vehicle recongition guide anywhere? I fly with labels off and sometimes am not sure if it is a friendly i have targeted or not.... mostly i go with the old rule "pointed at our lines = bad" I tried the encyclopedia but it has no nation affiliation when reading on the unit. 2. How many vihkr to kill abrams tank? Is the vihkr the best weapon i have? joey45 Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 1. make a mission and pratice your reconition... 2. No idea as I tend to play with the US as allies. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Boberro Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Read briefing whatever before mission, often people don't read or mission designers create mission without any briefing and situation presentation. Then you will more-less know where your allied and enemies units should be. Of course practice it how they look in TV and direction of their move. About Vikhr... it depends from what aspect do u attack. From front it needs 2 Vikhrs to kill, from back or from high alt it needs 1 missile. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Griffin Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Studying vehicles is propably the only way to go. You will gain experience over time. Here is a mission pack made for that purpose. I haven't tried it but maybe you will find it helpful. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=633977&postcount=8

ruprecht Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 1. I googled "armored vehicle recognition guide" and the fourth result was a decent PDF from EECH. 2. I usually release pairs unless I'm hitting him from behind. Viks are the best weapon you've got against Abrams, though it's possible to kill them with AP cannon. 1 DCS Wishlist: | Navy F-14 | Navy F/A-18 | AH-6 | Navy A-6 | Official Navy A-4 | Carrier Ops | Dynamic Campaign | Marine AH-1 | Streaming DCS sometimes:
Tbag Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Thanks for pointing that EECH guide out Ruprecht! Would be awesome if we could have the same for DCS! [/url]"Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so." - Douglas Adams
