May i suggest three changes, that would significantly improve appearance of this plane without mounting polygons number dramatically? First is inside of engine air intakes. Maybe they could be textured similiar way as in walmis f-15? Other thins are in nose section. Firstly nose tip. If You smooth it out a bit i would look much better. I know it would require increase in polys, but if you did it only to very nose tip, i would not be so heavy. Last thing is canopy glass. I think it could be done in material section. Try canopy glas material provided in ED tools for 3DS, as on other models as gripen or mig-21 canopy glas looks better. If you could consider making these changes in 1.1 release ( if planned), it would be fantastic. Great mod anyway :)

I think your intentions are well founded but Tomcatz has already said that the poly counts are low on his mods and that is what he does. I think every Mod done by 3rd parties can be touched up to some extent. It requires a lot of work to get to this stage and for Tomcatz this is what he was trying to achieve. One should not try and compare one modders work against another as they may have different ideas as to what they feel their project should reach for. Yes I agree with you but there are lots of mods that could use more Poly counts to make them look sharper but if you use these with a lot of other mods in a large mission, some people may not be able to play the mission on their present Computers. This I do believe is why some of Tomcatz's mods are of low poly. Still looks great and funcional for all. This is certainly not an attack on you or your statement but an explaination only, so please just take it as MHO on why some modders use low poly count mods. My post above is just a suggestion, how this model appearance can be improved significantly, without mounting polycount :) Check out this picture. It looks as real foto if not for this nose tip. In fact i think Tomcatz made a incredibly good job in achieving such a good look of model with limited count of polys. Definetlly his best model Happy new year for You too! kulbit Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Hi mates, looking at the czarnyolek's screens i've seen that he charged all the CFT hardpoints with weapons. Since i've charged the mine with the lope i was only able to charge 11 pylons , three on left wing, three on right wing, four on the CFT and the centerline (limits of the lope itself) leaving the remaining 8 cft pylons empty.... Can you show me how can i charge it too?

Just retexture the black circle in StrikeE_NOSE_WINGS_COCKPIT, top left corner. Did not retexture in this shot but that will correct at least one thing you picked out. Hope this helps.Cheers. czarnyolek Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 kulbit its not done with lope, but "by hand" in meinit file. Its impossible to do using F-15 slot as in original mod. I've done new one based on mig-29g, only using tomcatz 3d model. I did not mean to release it to public, as it have some serious bugs. It can be solved only by tomcatz himself as i don't own 3ds file.

In FC2 i'm not using Tomcatz models as i rather go for high quality as Gys/Valery, Beczl or Tigrou models. So i wont be trying to implement F-15E to FC2 for now. I hope we will see high poly model of this bird soon and then i would be more than happy to help in any kind of development. I'm happy to see Tomcatz trying to go for smoother models now, he is very stubborn and probably sooner than later will be making very smooth models that will make everyone happy. Especially if F-15E will be one of them ;)

He wrote, he just finished perfect Durandal FM for 1.2.1 ( ) and made a working CBU-97 but the real FM, submunitions, SFWs is too complex to DCS/LOFC2. :( so he cannot modeling the 10 parachuted, rocket-boosted-spined clusters with the 40 SFW skeets till now. His CBU-97s FM beta version "flies" like Rockeye but dispensing 40 parachuted! HE cumulative clusters :thumbup: but not as effective like the smart (Real Life) skeets. You quote my post from february mate ;) Quite a lot changed sience then in Tomcatz approach to moddeling, in plus, in my opinion. Still i'm waiting for good quality F-15E for LO as i'm unable to do it myself. Did'nt fly for some time now and maybe F-15E would put me in "jets cockpit" again. I do have a lot of respect fot Tomcatz efforts, especially after trying myself on 3ds :thumbup:
