Bought Flaming cliffs AGAIN.

I had to buy flaming cliffs again because I have changed my hardware so much that I ran out of activations.

The registry file wouldn't work with a different motherboard.

To the eagle dynamics team,

Please use another activation method that does not have a activation limit or use a completely different system that does not make the end user purchase a game twice.

I suggest STEAM if that is at all possible.

Edit: And only 4 activations left with the new code I just purchased, why don't you guys just charge a monthly fee?

If you put your games on steam you would expand your audience outside the hardcore flight sim crowd. The extra sales would more than pay off.

Bought Flaming cliffs AGAIN......

You say that as if it is a Bad Thing.....;)

Contributing towards a Vendor by attending to the Purchase of their product is a Good thing. It's not as if you were Forced to purchase it again, surely?

For future DCS modules, if you don´t want Steam, Rise of Flight method is ok.

No need activations, just an online check.

Read what Crunch posted above. There was likely no need to have purchased again because ED is really good about supporting their product and their customers you may have very well ended up with a new activation code at no charge.

I have purchased Flaming Cliffs download 5 times over the past 5 years because I own 4 fast gaming machines which I upgrade often. I have no problem with the activation method or the price. I am happy to support this fine company with multiple purchases at such a reasonable price. Only after you have purchased the download three times would you even be close to the price that most other titles sell for in the first place. A real bargain for a sim of this qualtiy IMHO. If you do not like this method go get the Flaming Cliffs CD and you will just need to pop it in the drive once a week no matter how often you change hardware.

I do not want a steam release as I already use it for some games and dislike the fact that you need to be connected to the internet to play a SP game. I have also found that there is not one single game on steam that does not cost LESS to have shipped to you in DVD form. I will be doing that from now on.

So you see there is already another method in place that should satisfy you not having to ever buy it again. Simply buy the disk. Steam is bad IMHO and even though I use it for a few games it will never again be my first choice for a purchasing method.

Well I contributed 15$ to ED then. I didn't think that it was possible to get another key code from them without paying. Thanks everyone.
