czarnyolek Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Pilot is great, but how about plane itself? Good job
59th_Krieger Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Hi all! Some updates from (head of) pilot: When i finished the G-suit and some little part of body, I'll continue the MIG-29 modell. Thank you every body for opinion. 1
OldCrow Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Awesome detail on that pilot! You should put him in avatar2 when he's finished:D [sIGPIC]http://www.virtualredarrows.com/member_sigs/vra2012_crow.png[/sIGPIC]
59th_Krieger Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Hi! I almost finished the pilot :D I hope close this little by-pass this week, and i can return to main project.;) 2
Pouka Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 That's amazing!! Keep up the good work! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sawamura Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Jesus, dude! Thats a lot detail! Awsome job!!
59th_Reaper Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 (edited) When will get ready? When we're ready...:) The plan is the end of 2010. This project is contain the making of several types (A, UB, C, etc.), UWV-mapping, texture making, animating, testing, etc. So this is a long run... flanker1 Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 hey guys, amazing job. take you all the time you need, phantastic looking pilot. . .
59th_Reaper Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 (edited) At now: Edited March 20, 2010 by 59th_Reaper 2 Two tails, two engines! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Luse Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 I know its a very small amount, But have you guys considered just making the pilots patches ect of just textures, any extra unnecessary polys are never a great thing  STT Radar issue is leftover code.
Aeroscout Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 I know its a very small amount, But have you guys considered just making the pilots patches ect of just textures, any extra unnecessary polys are never a great thing  I mush agree... There must be a compromise between quality and performance. But it looks excellent! Aero DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices
59th_Reaper Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 Guys! We're in 2010... The pilot model is about 17k polys at now, so i think it's an acceptable size. Two tails, two engines! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
2IAE-CrashBG Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 "Only" 17k ?! lol I imagine the plane :D It looks great but imagine this model online... [sIGPIC]http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e381/46crash/crahshig.png[/sIGPIC] Bulgarian DCS Community
Luse Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 And..Alot of people in the community have middle end Pc's. and The whole aircraft should be (Pilot included) at max 65K Imo, 45k Is a perfectly great amount. With that being said, if you want to over poly your model, Its your model! Go ahead! Looks great  STT Radar issue is leftover code.
59th_Reaper Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) In the DCS the Ka-50 model is over 100k poly, so if you haven't got a "normal" (not high end) PC, that is your problem... Edited March 21, 2010 by 59th_Reaper 1 Two tails, two engines! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
flanker1 Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 i totally agree with 59th Reaper, lofc and dcs are designed as single player games mainly - and if you go to play it multi - it is on your own. than you have to use the default, ed-models. design the mig and everything regarding "the beauty" in the way you want to do, the tech specs will allow it for the absolutely most people here, even it is above 65k poly. i look forward to fly the beauty.
VireVolte_tigrou Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I understand those thinking this pilot is unnecessary detailed. But with well thought Level Of Details, this will not significantly impact performances, even on "middle" PCs. I always thought the most important thing in 3D modelling is coherency. High-detailed pilot for high-detailed model with high resolutions textures is not shocking. 1
Kuky Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 detail is great... good levels of LOD's will balance load on the PC... if Black Shark plays very well on regular PC's right now this one will be fine also.. good work on the pilot just don't forget to close the pants zipper :D PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Kuky Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Adding this MiG-29 3D model to A-10A, Su-27 and F-15C will be great (oh wait... ED did the Su-25A and we already had Su-25T in super high quality) and I hope for 3GO to do the Su-33 also.. that would be great aye :) So... can we get 1 (or more) screenshots of the progress please? :D 1 PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
