So what app do I set nVidia Contorle panel to override the graphics settings? I set it to DCS.exe and if seems to have no effect when trying to overide AA and AS. Am I doing something wrong?

Am I doing something wrong?

Probably. :P

I have the nVidia panel set to apply AA and AF on dcs.exe and it works like a charm. Perhaps you could offer a screenshot showing the exact settings you have and see if we can notice something being wrong?

Hm. That is interesting. As long as that points to dcs.exe it should work.

Please try to change the settings in the "general" panel and see if it works.

set it in global and it works perfectly. Now, how do I get it to only work on DCS. The EXE i set it to was in thebin/stable folder. That is the right one right?

Check if you have the lastest Nvidia driver, and DCS patch. I had this trouble before but with the latest patch and driver it works well.

Can recommend using nHancer for graphics control, it will override your nVidia control panel, so don´t worry about that. Plenty of settings in nHancer to fiddle with.

The answer is very simple. You set the Antialiasing probably to high. For example on my video card (8800GTX) its only working with setting not higher than 8x. Just try a lower setting, that should work then. Better you start with 2x setting just to see if AA is working ;)

I tried all settings. Works fine if I adjust it in "global" settings. I jsut don't need all my games running on the highest settings. I'm not to worried about the card anyway. It can handly Crysis maxed out and 1280x1024 (max res of monitor). It's an eVGA GTX260 superclocked edition that I have further overclocked. I'm about as fast as I can go on stock cooling. And this game barly wakes it up. My CPU on the otherhand has two cores prettys stressed, the other two not so much, about 40-50% load from what my data software has recorded.

Try this:

1. Go to nvidia control panel and select; "Adjust Image Settings with Preview"

2. select "Let the 3D Application decide" and click Apply.

3. now click "Use the advanced 3D Image settings" and click Apply.

4. Now see if AA/AF works when set via a profile.

This has been brought up before I remember it but couldn't find the post. Anyways he's right you must do this, even if you already had it set to "use advanced settings" it will not work until you toggle it to a different setting then hit apply then back to advanced and hit apply again. It's a glitch with the driver. If I remember right you must also do this every time you update or replace your nvidia drivers

It's working with those sugjestions. Thanks guys!

On a side note, since running it with it all on and maxed out with AF x16 and AA x16Q, I actually picked up a littler performance and made it look better. A little backwards from normal, but cool. Normally I take a tiny hit from AF. AA has no effevt on frame rates in and game I tested it on so I always run as high as it will let me if the app does not have it built in.

Yeah I think your right, it was on this forum some where that I heard about it, knew it was some forum, just couldn't remember which. Really useless of nvidia to not have fixed this bug yet. Glad it worked
