Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List

Ok, here's a pertinent question then. Which aircraft is MOST LIKELY for next in line in the dcs series, knowing what we know about how it is selected. I know that it relies on receiving a military contract to model and simulate IN SERVICE military aircraft. Most likely it would also be to model an aircraft that has gone through a sizable and recent AVIONICS UPGRADE. Now that ED have been working with the USAF, they will likely chosen to do another aircraft, or maybe by the navy, due to the upcoming success of a-10c. So tell me people, which is most likely?

 

I think that this is a much better question :) But we have tried this question before and there was no answer then. I dont think there will be an answer yet. ED doesnt want to upset the potential customers (some of us have way too big egos, and from what I have been reading in these forums, very short fuzes too, so I think alot of posters will be very upset that they didnt get their wish) before they get a chance to buy DCS:A10C. It is inevitable that some will be upset with the choice of next DCS, therefore it is better to give them time to buy A10C first ;) Or perhaps not even ED knows what is next. Who knows... not me :)

I still assume its going to be a rotorcraft. Well I hope it is. I was never really into rotor sims till BS. Kiowa or Apache next would be great. If its apache, heres to hoping they can get a HIND after that 2 seat ground breaking, though I doubt it.

Apache and HIND are quintessential attack choppers. Everyone knows their shape and fears their shape.

Although I voted for the Tomcat it´s funny to see how much we all can´t wait to see the next module around. But this will take aprox a year. So we´d enjoy what we have until the next module announcements.

F-16 would be awsome, I know its in Falcon 4 but falcon 4 is so dated now (still play it from time to time). And I cannot run FF of more than a few mins its just too unstable.

 

F-18 would be 2nd choice. I fly the VRS version sometimes and practice carrier trapping but it makes me cry to think such a well detailed and functional aircraft is stuck in FSX and so will never really seem battle. PS there is a Tactial pack coming soon for it that will make sam sites that can be seen from within FSX and killed by AGMs. I think there will be lots of other stuff like that (tanks/truck etc). Dont ask me how they will do it but it will happen. What it really needs is a wingman for single player but im pretty sure thats way beyond what can be done in FSX.

 

Tbh I would be happy with any multirole aircraft.

Funny thing is, regardless of the vote, I don't think any of the aircraft in the poll are in danger of becoming the subject of a DCS module any time soon.

 

I would guess the F-15C to be unlikely also given that they are transitioning to some very modern stuff.

I'm guessing on the lines F-18C, F-16C, or some Mig-29/Su-27 derivative. I'm fine with either, as long as it's not the Bug. :)

As far as I know so the series has already been planed before BS release. If I remember right, so the Blackshark, A-10 Warthog, AH-64 Apache, MI_24 Hind, F-16 (whatever Block built), SU-27 and probably the SU-33 are selected to becoma a DCS module...But it either could already been changed or I missed one.
