I dont think the canopy has to be open. But the entire aircraft resets itself. So if you had no weapons, the lights on, or anything like that, it reloads the aircraft to the default loadout and it appears as if you just entered the game.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

And if despite the fact that your hydraulics are toast, you have no gear, no brakes, no flaps, your hud is out, you're leaking fuel like a sieve and your A-10 is more hole than plane, if despite all this you manage to limp back to base and pull off a breathtakingly perfect belly landing, it will not repair you no matter how long you wait. Because you have no landing gear.

I landed an SU-25 at a friendly airbase, but blew out the tires. It ened up int he grass off the end of the runway. I turned off everything and opened the cockpit, It re-armed but would not repair the tires. I tried for about 10 mintues to get it repaired. What went wrong?

thanx..

Did you shut the engine down? Although if drhow is correct possibly it doesn't recognise you as being "landed" if there's damage to the gear, and therefore won't activate the repair-timer?

I believe you should be on the runway/taxiways/parking areas and your gear should not have collapsed in order to be repaired.

The gear was not collapsed and I tried both taxiway and no taxiway... everything was off, not on.. not running,, and tried with cockpit open too..

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

You don't need to be on the runway / taxiway / parking area in order to get repaired.

As long as you are on the ground in the general vicinity of a friendly airbase (less than half-way to the nearest other airbase will do) your aircraft will be repaired.

I haven't tried with collapsed / retracted gear yet.

Last weekend I damaged both engines on landing (too much AoA) and didn't make it to the parking area as my engines stopped and steering became impossible when I left the runway. (engines off = no control whatsoever)

I ended up in the grass between the runway and the platform, and after about 3 minutes my aircraft was good as new :)

same here, if i got damaged by any projectile hit, i had no problem to repair my plane on taxiway..with engines off for a few minutes.. i think 3-5 minutes it will take to receive a new polished jet..:joystick:

how to make sure the plane has everything turned off??

In mulitplayer,,

I mean you turn off the engine(s), cockpit lights cockpit I would think everything would be off,, but I still have problems with the SU-25 and the tires being replaced when the tires are blown and I am on a regular airbase...

I am trying to find out why the tire repair does not happen... I was with another pilot (with an SU-25) and he had 100x more damage than I did, I had only blown tires, he had a plane that had no tires, was on fire and was a mess with pieces missing, yet his plane was fully repaired,, mine still could not get new tires..

Just spool engines down, thats all you have to do.

Also when stopping at airport, shutting down engines, DONT OPEN THE COCKPIT DOOR! Go for a new beer in the fridge and take som time zapping channels on TV for a couple of minutes. When you return to the computer screen after 3-4 minutes THE COCPIT DOOR WILL BE OPEN! THEN YOU KNOW YOU ARE REPAIRED! It works every single time!
