ben1101 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) Hello all! Wow I kinda have to agree that Logitech really dropped the ball on this one, however luckily my problems are minor - For me the stick trims fine, and I can adjust the spring tension in the profiler (and even the mini joystick up top works!) but I am not getting any FFB effects from environmental factors such as landing or firing the canon/ receiving hits etc. I checked the producer.cfg and FFB is enabled, however I am using the profiler to assign button functions except for the actual cyclic, collective and yaw axis' which I set up in the sim. Is this a common issue? And to the poster above, I experience the same issue with yaw input right after setting the trim, I just either make sure to compensate by moving them a little past the opposite center quickly after trim, or try have the pedals in the neutral position when trimming. One more thing, what is the difference between the central trimming mode and normal? Regards! Edited June 22, 2010 by ben1101 i5 4690K, GTX1070, 24GB 1800mhz, HP WMR, Custom FFB helicopter controls.
Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 (edited) Looks like the only way the rudder trim works "properly" is to disable force feedback in Producer.cfg and using central trim method. Furthermore, when force feedback is enabled in producer.cfg, selecting central trimming method makes no difference at all. In fact, it seems like enabling force feedback puts the trim function in non-central mode regardless of what is selected in options menu. Edited June 22, 2010 by <((((><
Slayer Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 (edited) I noticed that also but the rudder spike happend a lot with my non FFB X52 pro also but I just didn't understand what was going on. With the twist stick though when I trim I tended to center the rudder naturally. It really becomes pronounced when going to rudder peddals from a twist stick. I can confirm with FFB enabled it seems to ignore central trimmer mode regardless of the setting. The rudder is aparaently linked to the trim in the real thing and it is modeled this way but the problem lies in that there is no FFB rudder peddals available. Hopefully ED will unlink or give us the option to unlink the peddals in the future for playability. Edit: Also if you are a player that holds the trim button down to manouver it makes the rudder yaw problem worse because if you hold the button down the peddals will keep moving. The rudder after trimmed seems to ignore the actual positon of the pedals for further trim presses. sinelnic Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 It's not fixed. I think Logitech dropped the ball on that one. The bastards. I feel like a schoolgirl who once more trusts the bad boy to become good for her. I freakin bought the damned thing thinking that they could not let such an awesome product fail miserably. Shame on you Logitech_Mark. I wish you to be screwed in every purchase you make, starting with chinese food. I hate you. ben1101 Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Hey Guys, Sorry to repeat the question, but in FFB is there supposed to be special effects for example effects from rolling over the ground or firing the canon/receiving hits etc? i5 4690K, GTX1070, 24GB 1800mhz, HP WMR, Custom FFB helicopter controls.
Pilotasso Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Shame on you Logitech_Mark. I wish you to be screwed in every purchase you make, starting with chinese food. I hate you. Not his fault, rather his company policy leaves alot to be desried regarding quality and custumer support. .

LOL decision's of this sort of like support and updates to software is not one person's to make...I believe Mark is just the spoke's person to promote the product..yes it is true when you try to demonstrate a product you should know its capabilites of what it can and can't do.. CyBerkut Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Hey Guys, Sorry to repeat the question, but in FFB is there supposed to be special effects for example effects from rolling over the ground or firing the canon/receiving hits etc? No (For DCS:BS). It's only coded for the Force Trim in DCS:BS. I don't think LO:FC2 has environmental effects coded in to FFB either. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!

Too bad the rudder trim isn't coded properly. Hopefully it will be fixed in next patch.
ben1101 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 (edited) Yes I second the rudder trim annoyance - and also someone posted earlier in this thread how they could feel through the stick rolling on taxiways and other stuff - I guess in retrospect he was being sarcastic at the limited features employed with the G940 for such a "state of the art" system... I wouldn't expect to feel flight forces through the FFB due to the way the control system is implemented in the real heli, just kinda hoped we could feel the environmental effects such as the fuselage vibrating from the canon etc. A guy can dream haha EDIT: actually, why is there a "shaker force" setting in the DCS FFB settings menu?
