Kuky Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 could a person somehow do picture in picture on those side monitors so that the lua export for MFD is preserved but you still have the two side monitors offering the side cockpit views from triple head2go? seems sad to lose all that real estate... When I was playing with this multimonitor setup I was able to display the game on main monitor and have MFD's display over the same monitor so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to specify that main/centre image is streched across 3 monitors and have MFD images specified anywhere across them. No longer active in DCS...
Loz Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 That was my understanding also, but at the moment with the Beta not supporting Crossfire and not yet been optimised, the frame rate hit would be too great. amagad Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Can anyone tell me for sure if a a pair of samsung usb 7" will work fine in win 7 64-bit and in DCS A-10? Will i have any problems at all? I know it would be better to use 2 8" lcd but i will buy an nvidia gtx580 and i dont have enough connections. I will connect my dell 24" to the hdmi, then i have a spare monitor that i will connect to 1 dvi leaving only 1 dvi for 2 monitors so i want to use usb instead. Anybody got a concrete answer? Crasha Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Thanks for the great info on doing TM mfd's and just like to add that using electrical 15mm cable clamps with screws from the front worked out to be a great way of bracing the lcd's against the facia panel. I have 2 lilliputs working with it but Beta 4 seems to have a refresh issue on the left screen MFD. make sure you get the latest displaylink 5.6 version installed. Slayer Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I did some research on those samsung's- 2 problems 1) no 64 bit software yet (maybee never?) 2) can only use 1 Best idea is to check thier tech support page for the product you are looking at. I almost bought 2 off Amazon for $70 each but decided not to after checking their support info. MudRat02 Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Has anyone thought of trying the PSOne screen? You can score one off ebay cheap and from what I've seen they would be easy to interface with your pc. Maybe a little big for your cougar, but it might be a winner for other cockpits with bigger screen requirements. I'd be interested to know if anyone has given it a shot. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
CrashEd Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I think the resolution my be too low. From memory they are 640x480 and have an RCA/S-Video output. I think I've still got two somewhere that I intended hooking up to Falcon many moons ago...
