Problem with Targeting Box

 

Have had the Beta 4 up and running nicely for some time but am stymied by this problem. When I attempt slewing the targeting box around ( , . / ; ) it does not stay put where I have placed it but instantly jumps up to top of screen. As a result, target designation is impossible.

 

Any suggestions appreciated.

You first record an in-SIM track. Track is then converted to vid format (AVI or the like) by means of a third-party utility like FRAPS. http://www.fraps.com/

Does the DCS-A10 have full UTF-8 support on Multiplayer chat, briefings etc?

 

In other words, have the appropriate tga and txt (char code - coords) files been updated with the complete utf-8 table instead of just English and Russian?

 

If not, is this planned for the final release?

Hello, there is a problem:

I have fly during 5 min, I put pause during 2 min, and I have fly during 2 min, and in logbook, It's written 9 min instead of 7. The time of pause is included, why?

HELP.newbee_ just installed the beta4 but cannot start the game,

a window with text "dxguiLua binding" appears but system does not answer and the the window stays white. That is for a-10 single player, when tryed for multiplayer by clicking the icon there come up a window for my serialnumber that I anwered but then get stuck whith a frontal image of an a-10 and have to click down that window too after a couple of minutes- "nothing happened", game does not react! Have to close it manually.

Very frustrated after prepayed the game.

Sorry I posted this here but I cannot se a good place. Money wasted :(

No money wasted - Read the sticky threads in the Open-Beta forum:

 

 

Beta 4 Shader Compiling - White Screen at startup:

 

When you run the game for the first time, you will likely have a long (4-15 min) white screen while the shaders are compiling. The game has not crashed.

 

Be patient and wait for white screen to go away. SIM should respond as normal thereafter.

Im not sure if this has been asked or not but how do i communicate with my wingmen, i have the uhf set and i can recieve radio calls from them but i cant make them attack any target...also its the same thing with JTACi tune in but get no response sorry if this is anwered else where just too many pages

I am assuming that you are referring to 'Live Pause'?

 

If so, the outside world is not paused - it carries on as normal. It is only your airframe that is paused.

Have A-10C Beta beta 2 before and work real good. Try to download Beta 4 and all I have is frustration after so many hours of download.Try 3 time Used Download Manager take 6 hours no stop each download.When start

installing they are corrupted.

Try download as administrator still not good.

Please help on this I love those DCS and FCS games .

Why are you using a downloadmanager? Havent you been on the official website where you directly can download the files from?

 

Try this link and get the respective files.

It seems strange a download manager wouldn't manage to download the files correctly, but I'd strongly suggest you use bittorrent if at all possible. uTorrent is a popular choice for bittorrent client.

 

BT has the advantage of automatically verifying via checksums that your download is complete and not corrupted, in addition to being easily resumable.

 

After you have a bittorrent client installed, you can download the beta from the download page MemphisBelle linked to - the .torrent file is at the bottom of the page. That will give the bittorrent client the information it needs to download all of the required files.

Beta 4 not responding

 

:thumbup::( Sorry to disturb again Menfhisbelle and Nomdeplume.

Got the download done and real good but when run the game the missions

and multiplayer dont work (freeze the game) only work on quick start .

Try as administrator and still the same.

Can you give me some advice if possible Please.I very appreciate any help with can make this beautiful game work . Thanks lots . I never give up (love this game no matter what it take to run)

I had problems until someone told me the game must not be installed to C:\Program Files, which is the installer default. Try allocating a folder such as C:\A10 and install it there.

 

You will still find some bugs but this is, after all, a "beta".

I just bought this game, and got it installed a few hours ago. I tried to run Training missions to get myself accustomed to the cockpit and procedures. From the main menu i select Training, then select A-10C Familiarization, then Introduction to the A-10C and hit start (the play button). As soon as i hit play, it gives me an error message.

 

Error: String ".'missioneditor\modules\me_mission.lua"]:4683:cant open".\temp\tempmission.miz" for 'wb'

 

and then gives me a traceback....what am i not doing right?

 

Edit: i cant load any missions either.

*Great graphic, but when I'm shoting to ground or when I'm flying low, FPS's drop down(HDR off, graphic medium, but on low the same thing). Will you optimization this?

* I want to ask will it be dynamic campaign?.

*And will be new plane in the future, maybe F-16 in C version and in D(this will be great for our squadron :D)

1. Have a look at the Beta 5 Update posting by Wags (find it at the "official updates" sub-forum).

 

2. No dynamic campaign (at least not with the release of the A-10C).

 

3. Next module type of aircraft will be announced somewhen after the release of the A-10C.
