F-15 Cockpit Hornet-style

For all of you who like the F-18, I´ve changed the F-15 cockpit to make it a bit look like the one of the F-18.

Of course it´s not the real F-18 cockpit, but it makes the default F-15 cockpit look more modern.

I did it using F-18-textures of the Flight Simulator X.

Here´s the cockpit of the F-18A. There isn´t already a mod, but the chance is good to release it one day.

Well make sure you dont step on any copyright toes if you ever plan on releasing , may cost you dearly. Microsoft is a money leech afterall

Hey John,

Planes yes, Cockpits not so much but you can do some basic things with them (cockpits that is).

 

You need something like 3dMax and create the model, unwrap it, skin it, animate it, set the arguments for functions and a whole host of other stuff to get it working.

Put it this way, it's no simple task lol

I´ve changed the hornet cockpit a bit, so there´s no more "stolen" Microsoft FSX stuff within. BTW it looks a bit cleaner now.

... Change it back. You can do whatever you want in regards to importing materials from FSX, you just can't resell the material upon release for your own profit.

There is a cockpit that has been done for some time now on lockonfiles.com. Take a look at that one.Opps never mind, that was for the a/a,a/g modeled on the mig/su27.

I don't believe there was one done for the F-18 with the F-15 cockpit, at least to my knowledge. Except for the one mentioned here. There was one done for the F-18 using the mig29/su27 but other than the one mentioned in the first post here, I don't think one was done as the F-18 was for carrier use and F-15 is not suited for that role. Sorry.

That's what I said,as far as I know there is no F18 cockpit modded for the F-15 except for the one Jerec did. There is for the Mig/su. If you want a really nice F18 fly the VNAO mod and enjoy all the functionality of the F-18 With a more realistic cockpit. It is modeled on the su-27 or mig 29 a/c . There is, I believe an Fc2 mod as well as an Fc1.12 version. hope this helps.:)
