shu77 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Do you have the profile loaded? I recall the profile binds it to ;:'" or there abouts, so if you were to open notepad and slew you should see those keys appear in notepad Hornet, Super Carrier, Warthog & (II), Mustang, Spitfire, Albatross, Sabre, Combined Arms, FC3, Nevada, Gulf, Normandy, Syria AH-6J i9 10900K @ 5.0GHz, Gigabyte Z490 Vision G, Cooler Master ML120L, Gigabyte RTX3080 OC Gaming 10Gb, 64GB RAM, Reverb G2 @ 2480x2428, TM Warthog, Saitek pedals & throttle, DIY collective, TrackIR4, Cougar MFDs, vx3276-2k Combat Wombat's Airfield & Enroute Maps and Planning Tools
Demits Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I see them in notepad, but not in the game, when I use the mini stick? I have the profile loaded. Should I set it back to default?
shu77 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I see them in notepad, but not in the game, when I use the mini stick? I have the profile loaded. Should I set it back to default? Perhaps try a quick remap of the slew controls in the game options. Click on the keyboard input for Slew left, click clear click add, move the slew stick left, check you get the same key, then rinse and repeat for the others. I recall that the profile also uses bands to simulate slew slow and slew fast, check that it changes when you move the stick a little left, and then a lot left. . Demits Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Hi, again. Thanks for the advice. I'll try that and let you know if it works:)
Demits Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 (edited) I tried to re-map with success. The issue is that the slew control will only work for a couple of minutes, until it becomes unresponsive. If I minimize the game and open the profile editor for the X52 and re-enter the game, it will work again for a couple of minutes. I am really baffled at what is causing this. Perhaps the Saitek software? One thing I have noticed is that if I choose the "Clear Profile" setting, the program stops responding. Moreover, if I unplug the HOTAS while the computer is running, I receive the blue screen of death. Am I the only one having this issue? Could I change some settings, or install something that will stop the program from acting up and allow me to use all HOTAS controls in the game, without having to enter the Saitek program? edit: Here are my system specs Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit Intel core i5 4GB RAM Radeon HD5850 Edited August 20, 2011 by Demits
shu77 Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 Sounds like a bad instance of SST or your profil. Try creating a new profile tha tjus thas the hat controls in it, see if that works. If it does then its a bad profile, if it doesnt try reinstalling SST and see what that does Hornet, Super Carrier, Warthog & (II), Mustang, Spitfire, Albatross, Sabre, Combined Arms, FC3, Nevada, Gulf, Normandy, Syria AH-6J i9 10900K @ 5.0GHz, Gigabyte Z490 Vision G, Cooler Master ML120L, Gigabyte RTX3080 OC Gaming 10Gb, 64GB RAM, Reverb G2 @ 2480x2428, TM Warthog, Saitek pedals & throttle, DIY collective, TrackIR4, Cougar MFDs, vx3276-2k Combat Wombat's Airfield & Enroute Maps and Planning Tools
ryyy Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Awesome profile Jack! Question though, I cannot get the twist rudder on the stick to work. I tried to go into the game to Flight Controls and bind the twist rudder to the rudder controls but it is not letting me bind any controls in that section for the X52 Pro device. Can anyone help?
sparkie66 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 x52 SST freeze problem with this profile the mouse wheel down (boat switch) is the cause for the SST freezing up. (button name too long for the mfd) Solution i came up with: in dcs a-10 delete the fields for the saitek buttons for boat switch. In SST assign the keyboard buttons that command boat to the mouse wheel. The mouse wheel functions will now be called "untitled 9" or whatever. And this fits in the mfd. Maybe you can change button names in SST easier, but i havent found out how. Hammer 1 Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 Hi guys another noob here trying to learn to fly the A-10. And for the life of me I cannot get this profile to work properly. I am currently rolling with the X52 pro and have had some inital sucess with the .lua file but I have no idea where the .pr0 file is ment to end up. 5 have been reading that it needs to go into the saitek profiler (tray icon besides Windows clock) but I cant seem to find this anywhere....
Striker121 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Jack's profile really is awesome, but as a newbie learning to play, where it differs really matters D: For many of the keys, due to complex naming systems in-game, I can't set them to match shu77's easily readable profile. Anyone mind making a new PDF with all of SFJackBauer's settings or alternatively shu77, could you upload your .lua file of keybinds?
Monti Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Ive used this awesome profile initially with dcs A10C 1.1.0.9 german, and installed 1.1.1.1 english a few moments ago. Im not able to import the lua file properly in 1.1.1.1, eg. pinky switch and other stuff isnt working. Anyone out there with a hint for me ? anyone got it work with 1.1.1.1 ?
Rocky49 Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Please note from Wags post reguarding lastest patch Note: v1.1.1.1 will break any joystick or keyboard config that uses custom modifier keys - It is a simple fix to re-add the Custom Modifier Key to the Modifier list. Coutie Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I added Button 6(Pinkie Switch on X-52) to the modifiers list, I guess that is what you are alluding to, but it doesn't fix it, for me anyways. I will keep experimenting and try to get it working.
Rocky49 Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Did you ensure that the drop down list in the upper left side, just to the right of the label Aircraft, says A-10 Sim not Free Camera? This is on the options page, with the tab, Control, highlighted on the top. Did you clip on the any of the spaces below the Saiteck X52 Pro tab? Try that you should be able to clip on the Load Profile tab and the load profile page should come up you just need to steer the path to the location of your saved input option file (lau) Hope this helps System:Motherboard Asus ROG Strix Z390-E,Asus ROG GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC, GPU, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 Ram, Intel i9 9900K @ 5 GHz , cooled by NZXT Kraken X52, Acer XB270HU G-Sinc monitor, Windows 10 Pro, Warthog joystick and throttle with wasy extension, VBK Gunfighter Pro and MCG Pro,MFG Rudder, running on a dedicated 1TB Samsung 970 Pro M2 Nvme , Super Wheel Stand Pro, with a HP Reverb G2
Monti Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 ive solved my problem to import Jacks Profile: - ive deleted the DCS Warthog directory under /users/saved games - started a10 1.1.1.1 - selected Options/Controls, A-10C SIM and ALL - choosed Modifiers and added JOY_BTN6 (Pinkie Switch for X52) - selected first entry in row Saitex X52 Flight Controller - choosed Load Profile and loaded the lua from Jack After that the profile was working fine. Don´t know what i did wrong first time, my modifier wasnt accepted even though correctly displayed Hopefully this helps a little for you others, who got the same probs.

69thBlade Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Ok - I am learning ALOT here about this flight controller system...I think I know what is confusing so many people from the start. Having NEVER had to reconfigure a flight controller or any other piece of hardware for a specific game or function (and this game is trickier than most) I was totally lost. The instructions seemed to be clear cut but they really aren't for those of us who have never done anything like it. Example - I kept having problems getting DCS A-10C recognizing the pinkie button on the joystick as a sort of shift command. I tried for hours to figure it out...but the instructions were buried in this thread... I wouldn't be able to do it - but maybe if someone could produce a sort of "Dummies Guide" with step by step procedures for making the profile work (And I am not criticizing anyone for all the great work done here....There is no way I could -)..... For some of us the terminology and steps just don't make sense - and it has nothing to do with intelligence or ability either. I guess the best thing to do for now - for anyone else who is currently having a problem (remember this thread is over a year old now - Read through the whole thread at least once ( yeah I know - IT'S HUGE) - but I bet you will find most of your answers that way faster.
BittleRyan Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Is the X52 pro link on page 4 updated? if it is not does anyone else have an updated version? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Ramstein Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 (edited) UPDATED 03/15/2011 Your feedback and testing is warmly welcomed! ENJOY!!!! :pilotfly: regarding the Funcion / Start.Stop, and Reset on the Saitek MFD My Saitek stick is the X52 Pro, btw,, but no difference, I think, as far as the MFD display use here.. How do we program those function, as my understanding is the you need the plugin from MS FS X to use the Comm stack on the display? there is an SDK a person with programming skills can use, but is there a plugin in the free download that can be used for anyone to use these features? To use the comms/radio in the MFD display and keys in A-10C and my Saitek X52 Pro.. the SDK for use with MS FS X comes in the Saitek install drivers, but that is for programmers... but in this profile, it looks like it should just work, without doing anything? what is needed? Ratfink Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I used the X52 Pro version from page 4 of this thread, and from SST I got BSOD "Bad_Pool_Caller". After a quick Google, I discovered the solution is to keep profile names to less than 15 chars. When I renamed it to "DCS A10.pr0" it was fine.
