Absolution
Before the flames start I will tell you that I have already tried using the default keyboard shortcuts (RAlt+Home and RCtrl+Home). Nothing happens. I tested by remapping the controls to the exact same map and the key combination indeed works on my computer. I then tried remapping to something else entirely and they still wont advance to idle. I have also tried mapping my EAC so that I can use it but it too refuses to work. Same issue? The game is not paused. I'm running the 32bit version. The Engines DID work once last night but mysteriously do not today. How do I reset all of the controls to their default values? While I did not touch the mapping for the engine start I understand this is a beta and perhaps my other remappings somehow broke the default. I'd rather not manually reset each individual control. Suggestions?
fangav
I'm the same, I DL using the utorrent , might be something stuffed in there if you used UT as well. Any one else with this issue? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Nate--IRL--
The throttle on your joystick must be at zero to start engines. EAC is not functional from ramp start. Absolution
Thank you Nate. Your comment helped solve the issue. Turns out that when I was rebinding my keys the engine throttle got remapped to a slider on my throttle... no idea how but it did. I remapped it to the proper axis and now its all good to go. The slider was making the game think the throttles were not at 0%.

Nate Wait a second here, someone in our squad has problems he cant start the engines in FC2 when he reloads from the default payload. Yet on occasion he can. Maybe he has a similar thing going on? Diemos
I had the same issue until I cleared the entire catagory for something that listed only as "Virtual HID Device." I'm pretty sure it's my n52te, which has an axis (more an extra mouse wheel, but what the heck...), and so it got assigned to the axis stuff by default. Cleared all the controller (not keyboard  ) catagories, reassigned only the appropriate axis to the appropriate controllers, and now she works fine! We'll see how long...:pilotfly:

Blaze
Er....it means....we can't not cold start the A-10 now..? No you can cold-start the A-10 you just won't be able to use the "auto-start" feature yet as it's not implemented in this beta build. I'm fine with that though, since I love starting her up manually, would be a shame to do so otherwise. :) i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. Blaze
Yes,and I check the key command before, but it didn't work... Is your APU up and running? All the fuel switches on? Simply moving the throttles from OFF to IDLE without that will result in nothing. i7 7700K | 32GB RAM | GTX 1080Ti | Rift CV1 | TM Warthog | Win 10 "There will always be people with a false sense of entitlement. 159th_Viper
Er..I don't want to use the "auto-start"..My problem is..I can not set my throttle to move on the Idle... the same problem with Zakk... Imperative that you DO NOT touch/move your throttle prior to APU/Engine start. Doing so will result in you being unable to start the engines. Ensure your throttle is set all the way back, revert to default keypresses and start the engines subsequent to APU start-up via Keyboard inputs (RAlt-Home)(RCtrl-Home). Weta43
I still can't get my throttle to move on the RAMP--WTF? I'm not sure if thi is what you're asking, but when ramp starting the throttles won't move as you move your throttle - untill you've used the key combination to move them off idle...(& in doing so started the engines if you have everything set - which is relatively simple compared to DCS.BS) Cheers. Diemos
Quick fix that has worked for me (previous post was not permanent )... Unplug/replug USB controller while in the mission. Specifically, I was in the Start-up training mission, got to the part where I was supposed to start the engine - no joy with RALT-Home. Unplugged HOTAS Cougar (waiting for the infamous bee-bump disco noise), replugged, presses RALT-Home and whoosh! May it work in future!
Flim
Starting the TF-34 Engines Hey, I use to fly the CRJ series aircraft at the airlines, about 3000 hours.... In the CRJ-200 we had the CF-34, which is the same engine on the A-10 except de-rated for engine life. I notice the A-10 has a auto start , which basically moving the throttle out of cutoff starts the starting process. Does any know if this is realistic in the real plane? I have not seen a autostart like this on older airplanes, just wondering if this is realistic or a DCS thing!
