hassata Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I got a SMS today from the owner: It's arrived. Gotta love the small business owner. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
STP Dragon Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Hi guys. Yesterday I got it. The hardware is absolutly awesome! It is MASSIVE! No deadzone of the sensors! The stick fits like a glove in the middle, you are not able to joggle it. BUT there is no barrier if you want to move it. The needed force to move it is constant from the center to the edge. Absolutly awesome! Sadly there is NO analog cooliehat on the stick! Only one on the throttle. This one is NO cooliehat! It is a trackball like you know it from Notebooks. The switches are little hard-steering BUT you don't feel like you are able to damage it. The whole thing is MASSIVE and you have to take action. (sorry, don't know how to tell in english) Both devices have USB and are working without TARGET! In the controller options of DCS:BS and DCS:WH the configuration is set by default!!! It is possible to configurate EVERY switch/button in DCS! It is possible to configurate EVERY switch/button as modifier in DCS! (also for analg axes) I have a problem with TARGET. To run a TARGET-configuration the configuration-script have to run while you run the game. TARGET don't know if the game is running. Also it is not working to start the game by the START-button in TARGET. coolts Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Amazon still saying the 29th. It's kind of reassuring though that the small businesses have been able to secure stock before the giants. TM arent prioritizing the mega-corps. Still jealous as hell. Three days till the weekend. Plenty of time. [watches clock] - not playing a-10 till it comes. The Cougar is dead! hassata Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) Hi you lucky so-and-so's. Is it possible to set the pinky switch to act as a cougar type modifier and to set (e.g.) H3 to function as /I /H key press for view zoom in/out. hope that was clear, if not, don't worry about it lol. dimebug Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 if you want to launch the game with an associated configuration/script, you can do it from the Fly now menu, on the main page of Target. all the other ways only launch the Configuration/script alone, and then you have to start the Flightsim software.
Shaman Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I am not flying with my HOTAS Cougar neither. It is waiting now to be replaced by HOTAS Warthog. Cougar time is over and will be processed into box and hidden from daylight until it is either upgraded to FSSB or sold. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer

Is it not possible to simply start the game without running the script manually? The Logitech Profiler detects if the assigned .exe is running and starts the configuration. Why TARGET is not able to do this? Why TARGET can't detect the running simulator.exe and run the script automatically in the background? dimebug Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 it's not yet implemented and it wasn't for the Cougar stuff. Detect an exe launch means that you must have a kind of spy loaded in memory at windows startup. This kind of stuff use to slow down your computer and takes some memory. It's not the way Target Works. If people ask for it, it could be added, or a TARGET external small launcher.

Trackir software can detect which game is running and automatically loads proper profile. I find this feature really useful, would be great if something similar would be added to TARGET. CrashEd Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Nice photos Dragon. I'm too ashamed to post pictures of the WH as my desk is such a mess :D I have to echo everything what Dragon says though. It's a Behemoth of a stick :D
STP Dragon Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 On my pictures my desk is a mess... Now I removed the G940, put it under the desk and cleared the wireing. hreich Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 On my pictures my desk is a mess... Now I removed the G940, put it under the desk and cleared the wireing. Did you decided to keep the G940 because of pedals? I have also G940, an I am waiting for Warthog, and decided to keep the G940 because of rudder, untill I found a replacement...And also, how did you managed and where did you managed to get hold of Warthog hotas? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Pilot from Croatia
STP Dragon Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 @ hreich: Yes, I will keep the G940 till the new Saitek Combat-Pedals will be released. The G940 now is under the table in a foil to protect it from dust. I ordered the Warthog last friday in a little game shop called "Gamestation" in Baden-Baden (Baden-Württemberg / Germany). I asked if it is possible to order, the owner called his distributor and ordered it for me on monday. And yesterday I got a SMS "it is arrived". :) 380€ Homepage: Spare-Time-Pilots DCS:BlackShark v1.0.2: BLINDSPOTs EditorMod DRAGONs ArmA2-Sounds DRAGONs BS1 TRAININGPACK DRAGONs MISSIONPACK [bS & FC2] DCS:World: TM WARTHOG PROFIL FOR BS2 DRAGONs BS2_TRAININGPACK DRAGONs TRAININGPACK DRAGONs MISSIONPACK
PhoenixBvo Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I just got a message from Computeruniverse, also in Germany, that they've shipped mine. MTFDarkEagle Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Question for the already very happy tm warthog owners: how does the hotas connect to the pc, and between each other? Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
STP Dragon Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 @ Succellus: I don't understand your first sentence but the second... and it is very confortable. @ MTFDarkEagle: Every device (Throttle and Stick) have USB. You are able to use it independend from each other. Once plugged in, DCS detects it and the controls are set by default. hassata Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 not speaking from experience but i believe each connects directly to pc through its own usb dongle edit: beaten to the draw. quit posting and go play with the WH :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Succellus Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) I mean when i played with my cougar upon the desk it was unconfortable. So i did some "drawers" that i pull close to my hips to fly. That s a half assed cockpit. I was wondering about the warthog cause he s even higher than the cougar. PoleCat Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 BLT's site has changed release to 11-4. I have not received an email moving the date back yet for my order but I do expect one. This waiting and constant shuffling of dates is really starting to get to me now. If I can find it some place else in the USA sooner I will probably cancel my order there and re-order some place else. I don't care if I have to pay a little more. To me it is worth it to get it asap. HOG HOG HOG HOG! Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
