I am using CH Pro Pedals, and had to invert the axis for both toe brakes within the sim controller Axis Commands menu configuration. They work fine now.

They are variable just like any other aircraft, and just the same in sim. I've never had an issue with them seeming to be on/off, parhaps you need to tweat your axis curves.

Thanks, I'll have a look. IIRC a few of us were having the same problem.

IIRC, the brakes were on during startup on the blackshark. You can check this by using LCtrl + Enter to view controller inputs. The brakes are on the bottom left or right. I haven't check this on the warthog yet, but it does seem like there is a sort of parking brake applied until you either tap the brakes or go up around 85% throttle.

But the Ka-50 actually has a parking brake I think. It's a catch that holds the squeeze brake in place like a gas pump nozzle.

Question about the Hog's toebrakes... Are they modulated, or just "on/off?" In DCSW, they seem to be either on or off... I can't imagine that being the case in real life.

Never seen that question asked before, pardon me if it has been.

I have the same issue. I have all the curves and and settings correct, and have used the RCTL+Enter keystroke to verify that the simulator is recognizing my toe brakes correctly.

However, no matter how gentle I am on the brakes, they still seem binary (on/off). It could have something to do with the "sticky" and "bumpy" runways that some people are seeing in this build, so I'm waiting for the new release before testing or experimenting any further.

But yeah, you're not the only one.

I cannot figure the brakes out either. My Saitek pedals were flipping the plane so I figured out how to get rid of the roll/pitch axis. Now they seem on or off like they are sticking. I am now back to using the <> keys. I would love to be able to taxi and brake on landing but I have exceeded my P.I.T.A . threshold on this issue.

So what I think the 'W' key does is toggles between full brakes (using the pedals) and no brakes

Seems that pressing and holding W applies the wheel brakes, and when you release W it releases the wheel brakes. It's not a toggle switch at all. You can check this with RCtrl+Enter to get the input indicator thing up, and hold down the W key.

Got the same problem here.

The left/right wheel brake commands, sets/locks the brake. I tried them on the CH PRO pedels and would set and release with toe. I stop using that because when taxing and landing, I would sometimes lock them and when I tried releasing the a/c would not move. Pressing on the toe one or both would not release. That became very frustrating even with a good size Dead Zone on each axis. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW :D

Can I ask you guys how do you guys keep your A10 straight on the runway when taking off? Im all over the runway and bust my tires when I take off. I have CH rudders but for the life of me I cant keep this thing straight for takeoff. Did the training video and same thing happens. Can I get some tips pls.

Make sure you disable NWS (nose wheel steering) with the "INSERT" key when you're above 50kts, otherwise you'll swerve all over the runway.

Small input from the pedals, at 70 knots you whould turn off NWS and use rudders to maintain your heading.

FYI: I always start off with an ever-so-slight left pedal to account for the off-center front gear. You can also adjust your curves so you need more movement of your pedals to control the front wheel/rudder.

As noted above, adjust the curves on your rudder to give you finer control. I have mine set at 30 which works great for me and it still gives me plenty of pedal while flying to do coordinated turns.
