MasterZelgadis Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 The Track IR software is getting confused with multiple DCS games installed. It will use Black Shark's profile if you have Black Shark installed. Any profile you set for Warthog in the games list will be ignored. This might explain why some people are 'losing' their desired hotkeys. No, that doesn't explain, why it won't accept the Hotkeys I configured in the "Default" profile, that I use exclusively, so it doesn't select any other profile at all "Sieh nur, wie majestätisch du durch die Luft segelst. Crazyowl Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 No, that doesn't explain, why it won't accept the Hotkeys I configured in the "Default" profile, that I use exclusively, so it doesn't select any other profile at all ok m8 try this, I also have black shark and A10 and I dont have no problem. if your problem is trying to set a hotkey for the pause and the other 2 options in a joystick or Throttle this is what I did. Easy Pick a profile " default or any" set the head movement as you wish light etc... Then you will see a box that say use exclusive check this and also of course select each one of the pause, P , and center don't remember the words exactly Iam at work, and set the hot key in the joystick or Throttle you can see that in the lower right corner of the Track IR program it will change to your settings. Remember the exclusive box if not each time you load Track IR it will pick the deafault setting. Hope this Help. <S> :pilotfly: srry for my writing is not my first.
NaturalPoint_Vince Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Also, when you go to save any changes you have made to the default profile (5.x software) it will want to create a new profile, as the default profile is designed to give you a basic profile to work from and any changes that you make and save need to be create with a new profile. (i.e can't save to the default profile) Support@NaturalPoint.com TrackIR - Put your head in the game http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/index.html
TeeSquar Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) I'm running on Win7 64 bit, but using the 32 bit .exe so I can use TrackIR. I was having issues with the hotkeys until I started running TrackIR as the admin. no more issues after that. FYI, I'm using the Numpad keys as previously stated, for my hot keys. Make sure to clear the keys in the sim first. Edited October 28, 2010 by TeeSquar
Steel Jaw Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I was having issues with the hotkeys until I started running TrackIR as the admin. This is correct. Even if you have it set run run as Admin in the properties compat mode, you should still right click and run as admin in my experience. Panzertard Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 TrackIR 4/5 is NOT compatible with DCS 64bit - run DCS 32bit (x86). And remember to update game profiles in TrackIR And remember to run TrackIR as administrator as well. EDIT: You did run the x86 version of DCS right? The mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open | The important thing is not to stop questioning

159th_Viper Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I installed A-10C in C:\Program Files (x86)\DCS A-10C Beta . . . I hope thats it:( ? What OS are you running? If 64-bit, should have 4 desktop icons. Run the 32-bit one. If 32-bit OS, have you updated your TrackIr (Game Updates) as Panzer stipulated? Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? 159th_Viper Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 My system Win 7 64bit. ...and I have 2 icons on desktop! One for single player and one for multy player... TracIr is updated ... Uninstall and reinstall. When you install again, be sure to tick the 'Install 32-bit files' box when prompted to do so. At present you have only 64-bit version files installed, accounting for the lack of TrackIr. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Zorg_DK Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Make sure 'True-view' is enabled. thanks, but when I enable trueview it zooms instead of moving on the x-axis when looking back.
