JHepburn Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) There have been a number of questions about how to program the CDU with a waypoint that a JTAC calls in and has not been datalinked to you. Hopefully this video helps and is not too confusing. Original video has been updated with 720p and voice over narration. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKDIQWZIHmo Edited November 15, 2010 by JHepburn Updated link and text 9
kylania Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 If you're going to show text you really need to record in at least 720p. :) Text is nearly unreadable at 480p. It would be helpful to explain which OSB and UFC buttons you're pressing and why. As in how to, step by step, actually enter rather than just saying "I'm going to enter this now". Generally helpful video, but needs more details and resolution. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
JHepburn Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 Thanks for the feedback. I had intended to just post the track, but it's 5+ gigs... Biggest problem with 720p was video size....I'm a total ignorant when it comes to video work.
ESzczesniak Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Thanks for the feedback. I had intended to just post the track, but it's 5+ gigs... Biggest problem with 720p was video size....I'm a total ignorant when it comes to video work. I'm far from an expert...really far. However, I do recall when you have these severl GB files from FRAPS (if that's what it's from), you could put it through Microsoft Movie Maker and save it to an MPEG-4 usually decreasing size by 10-30 fold.
kylania Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 To get 720p, just make sure your resolution is set to 1280x720 (or larger). Fraps records huge uncompressed AVI files, so yeah you definitely need to run it through something like Windows Live Movie Maker or Vegas or something to render it out smaller. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Christmas Cheer - A Landing Practice Mission : Beta Paint Schemes : HOTAS Keyboard Map : Bingo Fuel - A DCS A-10C Movie
