All mods are good if you like them. Personally I like:

 

 

• Ricardo cockpit
  
• Puffy smoke
  
• New textures of buildings by Mustangs - those skins are close to Polish buildings look
  
• Various civilian new skins
  
• Many others smaller like new explosion smoke ect...
  
  

These are the most important for me. There was also LoReload terrain, I liked it very much but it is not for FC 2 so far I know.

Yes, game is eaisly moddable so you can glance on LUA and other and try to make it :) Many aspects of game can be modded but.... IIRC ED blocked non-default weapons from Ka-50 usage. Weird idea and not understandable. But nothing is not crackable ;)

Does the texture pack run with BS v1.02 and do you find any FPS issues?

 

On BS V1.02, I have found the Shark Pit Part 1 and 2 by Ricardo, excellent. This is a Photo realistic cockpit. Enhanced at night, the lights are not too bright. If you add the Crystal Clear NVG v2 by JuJuMan then the night flying of BS is superb. ( Probably only in single monitor though:()

 

Other than those, I have the Remove Cloud Shadow by Toby. This eliminates the vertical shimmer in the distance at certain times.

 

Oh and Dragon's ArmA2 Sounds add to the experience.

I tried Dragon's ArmA 2 Sounds mod today. Honestly, I disliked it very much. From the sound of powering the helicopter with the batteries or external power, to the sound of the rotors. I'm back to the originals.
