acare84 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Hi, will you release DCS: A-10C Warthog on Steam like Black Shark? I love buying games from Steam and it is a good service. I hope you will release the game on Steam soon. Thanks. :)
Mirtma Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Since beta 5 was for steam testing purposes, I believe it will be. ;) Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X | i5 10600K@4700 | 32 Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11G | MONITOR IIYAMA 24,5" LED LCD @ 1920 x 1080 | Windows 11 | Saitek X-55 Rhino | TrackIR 5 Pro

Svetlano Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 There's already a scheduling for the Steam release ? When could we expect to see it there ?
acare84 Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 Game is released at Direct2Drive today. I think Steam release is soon.
Lonecrow66 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 They gotta set up the page and all that. Steam will pump it up real good. --- May your takeoffs equal your landings!
Witchking Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Yup ! I am waiting for the steam version also. I got DCS from direct2drive, FC2 from ED themselves and then regretted it as I started building a steam game collection. Will be nice to directly get A-10 on steam. I am still waiting for DCS blackshark to go for "sale" aon Steam as I already spent full price on D2D and will buy it there. Want the best sims on the best gameing platform, no troubles to patch and all my game library at my fingertips. I hope someone from ED could come here and spare at least a word on this topic.
Rusty_M Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 If it appears soon on steam I'll be all like "damn I'd love it on Steam". Then I'll go and fly it and feel better because their DRM isn't too bad and I've got it here anyway :D The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine! http://www.twitch.tv/rusty_the_robot https://www.youtube.com/user/RustyRobotGaming
Svetlano Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 ED Team, again, please: could you kindly spare a word on the Steam release and scheduling ? Thanks
Smudooo Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 steam is known as a platform that releases games as soon as they can. so be patient other question. is it possible for people who pre-purchased the game to use steam without another buy?
Rusty_M Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I think that remains to be seen Smudooo. It wasn't possible with Black Shark, so whilst that doesn't rule anything out, I wouldn't hold out much hope. I just realised that buying it on Steam would be a bad thing for me. My Steamapps reside on my HDD, but DCS currently resides on my SSD (although any further modules won't have room unless I upgrade that) The world is going mad. Me? Grimes Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 I think an epic steam sale should be in order whenever BS and WH become online compatible. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Rusty_M Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Epic Steam sales are always in order as far as I'm concerned, but the last one hurt my wallet! Epic Steam sale when I had no money the previous year, and was 1 week away from building a new PC...dangerous stuff! The world is going mad. Me? Rusty_M Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 You couldn't activate Black Shark on Steam if it was bought in another manner. The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine! http://www.twitch.tv/rusty_the_robot https://www.youtube.com/user/RustyRobotGaming
Svetlano Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 You couldn't activate Black Shark on Steam if it was bought in another manner. That's why i'm asking: don't want to buy it twice and since almost my whole collection is on Steam, and the best aircraft simulator ever is expected to be relased there, i don't want to pay it 118 Dollars, because i have to buy Track-ir too.
Svetlano Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Ed, please, again: can u say us something about the Steam release ? Thanks
bladebarrier Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I'm waiting to hear about a release date as well. An update on the time frame would be greatly appreciated.
Erdem Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Argh, the waiting is killing me while everyone else is flying! Please ED give us some news :)
turbotrixie Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 A steam release would indeed be quite quite awesome. Yes I own both DCS simulations but cant be assed figuring out how to place those fancy pictures here. I also own a computer with several parts in it!
mtuckner Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I already have the release version but would buy a steam version as well when it get's released. I like Steam and keeping everything together is nice and the auto updating is great.
