Heheh I know, just hoping to pull some of those programmers that are making things all nice and pretty over to the poor slaves that have to fix the code ;-)

I believe this was discussed earlier and the reason is, that the arms and legs would obscure the view of buttons, if you're not using TIR. And, as opposed to real life, you can't move the arms and legs to gain view of the area you want to see.

Well, no worries I figured...

 

To elaborate a bit.... the In cockpit self shadowing is a happy by-product of a greater change going into the engine, which will have knock on effects as a whole.

 

...+ the guys doing the modelling and shaders are unlikely to be compiling AI code now are they ? ;)

That was a feature that came with DirectX 10 preview in FSX. Does the shadows mean you began to implement DX10 into DCS ?
