Cibit
Hi, I am trying to insert voice recordings into my AFAC mission. I thought I knew how but have failed so far. I tried .ogg and .wav files. added to the trigger command and I gave it it's own trigger which overlaps the trigger for the text. Using once>unit in zone>AFAC(unit-name)>sound to country(canada)>soundfile Any Ideas? TRoe13
I would make sure the trigger is big enough and that the airplane is actually going into it, and second, since you're using a specific unit for the trigger, double check all that stuff is correct (actually using the correct unit and he is the one flying into the trigger ect). If it still wont work, i'd say maybe post up the .miz so we can take a look. Cibit
Trigger is exactly same size as trigger for texting co-ords. This works to country ok. The same parameters apply to both triggers. They should both trigger simultaneously. So the voice message arrives at the same time as the text message. i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB

Cibit
Cheers Hi Jack, got GF round and my son so going to be this evening before I get the chance to see. I am suspecting 1 of 2 things I got it wrong with activating 2 triggers together or Voice to country does not work yet. Cheers Cib i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
HiJack
OK. I made the mission with sounds from a real situation grabed from a youtube video and it turned out good I think. Do a testrun with the mission and check out my trigges. Should be fairly easy to see the action switshing and follow the trigger actions in Mission designer. Enjoy ;)

Druid_
1) Sound to country. You will only hear the sound if you are flying an a10c from Canada. i.e. You are playing a Canadian. 2) It might be your .ogg file is corrupt or not being recognised correctly. In your first post it does look like the trigger code is correct. Try changing the sound file from yours to one of the DCS files. I am away fm PC but search for it in your DCS subfolders, if I remember its in a folder called SOUND nested in amongst others. Select an ATC file. 3) Sound to Country might be bugged. Try Sound to coalition (Blue) BTW You can ADD the 'message to coalition' action directly above (or below) the sound to Country/Coalition. No need for two triggers. I.E 1 trigger condition with multiple actions. Let us know how you get on. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q

Bahger
Bagher SimHQ ts wants a PW:huh: Yes, you have to sign up, but it's worth it. I've been a member for over 5 years. It's spam-free, basically ad-free, offers TS3 and good forums and it's both a great resource and a great community.
Cibit
Ok Bagher got round to registering :) Hijack I loved the mission.:lol: I have done exactly the same as you in regards trigger setup. I tried sound to country and coalition (blue). No joy, there is however a significant size difference to your .WAV files and mine. I wonder if size or codec has a bearing on it. Do you use TS to record or another app? i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB

dsobbe
Hi guys, I've just started adding OGG sound files to my missions and I need a little clarification. No problems getting them to play on my computer. When I add an OGG file in the ME I specify where the file is located. What happens when that MIZ file is uploaded for others to use. Does the OGG file imbed and go with it automatically? Or, is there something I need to do so that the OGG file goes with it and plays correctly? Thanks
Cibit
yes the file embeds in the .Miz You can use 7 zip to open the actual .Miz and you see your .ogg files inside:) i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
