kungfoo Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 What is the correct procedure to change the inventory after a rearm with a different loadout? I managed to get the weapons changed, also online. some of them showed up in green, others (like JDAMs and WCMDs) stayed red, still they could be employed and hit them targets. I could however not find out how to create new profile for the new weapons? Say I had PGMs loaded on the first flight, then RTB, wanna go back with a few MK-82s. How can I properly create a profile for the MKs? How does one go about that?

Frogfoot1606687865 Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 The first thing to do is to reload your data cartridge when you have been re armed. (assuming you have a different loadout). This is best achieved by pressing one of the bottom OSB's and holding it. The MFD's will then display all the available pages, select the OSB next to the 'load all' option and then press the osb where you want the menu option to appear. Then you can go through the motions of reloading the cartridge. and when compleat all the weapons will be green. Hope this helps. kungfoo Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 Thanks a bunch, this works! Itried doing it with the inventory, which is kinda wrong. :D
Helios Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 The solution I was told when I encountered this same problem on a multiplayer server was to swith off/on CICU and then perform 'load all'. Which I would assume is not an appropriate procedure compared to the answers provided by others earlier in the thread, and probably takes longer while waiting for CICU to power up - but it works :) ASUS Maximus IV Extreme B3 | Intel i7-2600K | 16GB DDR3 1600MHz | GeForce GTX 580 1536MB | Corsair SSD 128GB | TrackIR4 Pro | Saitek X52 Pro | CH Pro Pedals | Win7 x64
Fish Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Actually, only need to load the DSMS section of the data cartridge. Shold load almost instantaneously. Frostiken Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 If you want to get technical, the *real* procedure is to manually load all the stations unless you got the same loadout strapped back on, since the data cart wouldn't have the new profile pre-loaded. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

159th_Viper Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 That procedure is not implemented in the sim, I guess? It is and as stated it's the correct way. The reloading of the DSMS is the quicker/'unreal' option. Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! WarriorX Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 That procedure is not implemented in the sim, I guess? You can do it that way, it just involves going through the INV sub page of the DSMS and loading each station with whatever store you requested. Then you have to manually create profiles for whatever new weapon you did not have stored in the Data Cartridge from the previous loadout. (Flight Manual pg. 274) You may also have to go into the STAT page and power up some 1760 stations for the new loadout. Personally, I use the LOAD DSMS method right now. ED Team Olgerd Posted May 14, 2011 ED Team Posted May 14, 2011 IRL pilots use manual selection of desired weapons via DSMS Inventory page, because DTS cartridge may have stored loadout different from what you currently have loaded on the jet. b101uk Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I generally go threw the DSMS Inventory page as invariably the load-out I started with is not available from the reloading options, it also allows me to check the weapon specific profile is how I want it and with symmetrical loading its normally done before refuelling has finished.
Fishbot Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 If I'm doing a ramp start from cold then re-arming before doing anything else means that when I get to the Load All stage it loads up correctly and saves any messing around. Only tried it messing around though as I'm still taking baby steps! Not sure that the changes are always reflected when talking to JTAC though - seem to rememer "I" called out the wrong load out at least once. 64 bit Windows 7, Q6600 OC @ 3GHz, Asus P5Q Deluxe, 4Gb Geil PC6400, OC'd ATI 6850 Some HDDs, Clunky old Cyborg 3D Gold
