...I would of liked them to have a simpler model and have more aircraft then the way they are now.

This misses the actual goal of DCS and what you're requesting would be an entirely different title/series than what exists. DCS is a series of study sims, each individual aircraft modeled to exhaustion! There will not, and should not, ever be more than one aircraft per title.

Don't get me wrong, I like DCS, I just want aircraft faster then what we are getting now.

100% agree. I'm in love with the modules that we have, but it's now time for a fast mover!! (Indications are good that that's what we're getting!)

I know what DCS is, I'm just saying I would like more aircraft, but it doesn't have to be as detailed as DCS. Especially if it will take 1 year or more per aircraft added. I have been around these forums for a very long time and have been flying Lock on since it came out in 2003. One thing that made it so fun to fly was the amount of different aircraft and the graphics. I know DCS is adding new things with every new one that comes out. I just want things added faster and I know it will take some time. It's a lot of work for ED to do and they are doing a great job. I also wish that they could release 2 aircraft at the same time, Like F-16 vs Mig-29, F-15 vs Su-27 and so on.

I cannot help but notice the irony of so many of you FC guys complaining about the stretch between 2 DCS modules as the flaw that annoys you most, when in fact, FC2 is to "blame" to a large degree for the long interval between BS and WH. :D

Even with FC2, it would still take how long to get the same aircraft we have now? If the 9 month thing is correct, bar they run into no problems. We are looking at many years down the road. I said that DCS is great. I don't know how fast they got A-10C done cause I don't know when they started, but it seemed pretty fast or I just was having fun flying FC2 that I didn't notice.

Well, it probably did draw resources much longer than expected, but I'm having a hard time believing that the FC2 is the main culprit behind the delay since they are in not crossing path in any other way. DCS A-10 is much more complex to develop, test and iron out the bugs (even compared to the ANG simulator version supposedly) so I'd say that's the main reason considering that the ED team is obviously not a big one.

So what you are basically saying is that FC2 made itself? :)

You are right to some degree, some time was also consumed by the BS patches.

Still, how could you come to the conclusion that work on FC would not delay DCS by a large degree?

Yes!! I love this idea. The titles even sound cool. It's probably already been addressed but it's a great idea to have two comparable but opposing AC of DCS fidelity pitted against each other. The online community would thrive on this and give a full and rich eperience both cooperatively and head to head. The only other feature begging in this series besides this is a different country/theater of war to keep things fresh. My 2c

Different strokes for different folks, but as I have mentioned before, the day DCS:Fighter comes out I will be done with Lock On. I want something new and hardcore and not the same low fi jets we have been using since 2003.

There was already a very similar thread to this. Some people want the compatibility with DCS and FC2, others like me would rather the time spent on DCS.

Hardcore Crunch. :D

I tell you what hardcore is. Hardcore is hacking your enemy apart with a machete and fornicating with his twitching corpse. Sitting in the comfort of your Simroom/office/bedroom simming away is not hardcore. :D

Thats what it is......it dosent matter how good it is simulated, it is still a fact you sit in youre warm room at home lol....;)

When I fly from LOWG to LOWI with a cessna, and the weather changes in the alps, well, then it is hardcore...

Within the context of pc based flight simulation, yes I do.
