Lucky man!

I particularly wanted to time roll rates, turning circles etc etc!

Though I am sure they will be stripped down to the most agile configuration.

If you meet any of the pilots, tell them about your involvement with DSC:A10C.

In a previous year there was an A10C static display with the pilot, and I talked to him and he had been trained using the DTS:A10C that we developed, and he was most complimentary and full of praise!

Sorry to hear that Jim.

Aye - been thinking of getting my hands on a Box-set so that the Demo Team can autograph the front cover if I can get them to do so :)

You could sell that for a fortune on ebay! Suggest you take several boxes! I'd pay you £100 to add to my historic archive - Falcon signed by myself and Gilman Louie. etc.

Lucky b******!!! We expect photos and videos.

Was hoping to go, but sadly I've got to attend a friends wedding tomorrow. Never done a military air show in a non-working capacity. But I guess the copious amount of alcohol I'll be consuming on Saturday night will drown my sorrows.

The Weather yesterday was really lousy in the start, this went on until around 14:30ísh , and I was a little annoyed with the A-10 demo ( was for me the nr 1 to look out for ). Later on the day it got sunnier and luckily they flew , but is was toned down considerably.....

I took pictures of the static during the rainfall, because i wanted to film the air displays, but it was almost not to do, wind gust and rain blazing on your lens, man o man!

When the air displays started ( very cautiously ) there was no time left to take pictures of the static , an friend of mine was happy that I took pictures of the static at all, because he has not taken any pictures of it (!) .

The Frecce Tricolori and the Red Arrows were of course good as always , and the glistening Vulcan moved gracefully as ever . and the Tornados attacking was also a nice spectacle!, and the Laden Typhoon was also nice to see!

Still, i have mixed feelings about this year RIAT, the weather was in the start really a bad thing to went trough ( soaking wet rucksacks , shoes ) , but in the end we were happy that there was even some flying , a day takes long when you have that kind of ordeal ( weather ), but alas , another learning experience!

Well despite another wet start, today's show was great, fantastic displays all round, the A10 of course was stunning. To top it off, Managed to grab a A10 west coast display team T shirt And get a boxed copy of A10 signed. :) photos to follow. However was very lucky to get A10 back as pilots and ground crew all very very impressed. Even gave them the website and forum address, so we may see them in here one day. Sadly due to communication issues didn't get to meet with Viper but nethertheless a great and productive day.

Sincere apologies Cowboy - My cell decided to throw a wobble: All calls straight to voicemail as my irate missus will attest to.......Next time :)

Hey cowboy, if you got your copies signed with a silver marker, I was standing to your left, green raincoat and dark hair :)

That could very well have been me - should have grabbed me and given me a shake :)

Got two DVD artwork inserts signed by Rifle and Jam (Pilots) as well as by three crew chiefs and the 2 DVD's signed by Jam.

@JimMack - If you read this, PM me your address as the one signed box-set is yours per request.

As for RIAT itself, interesting and a first for me. Was slightly disappointed by the lack of attendance from the USA and Russia in particular, slightly alleviated by the static Ukranian SU-27UB. Weather notwithstanding, which was admittedly miserable at stages, a thoroughly enjoyable experience made all the more worth it for meeting the A-10 Crew and pilots.

Interesting factoid: First time an A-10C was flown at an airshow for a demo was this week-end at RIAT: Rifle did well - I was impressed :D

Photos to follow once back in Scotland.

Just came back from Fairford after watching the Sunday display.

I really enjoyed the aggressive displays of the Turkish F-16, Swedish Gripen, French Rafale and British Eurofighter. The Red Arrows were outstanding, the Lancaster and Vulcan were awesome.

For me the star of the show was the Ukranian Su-27UB on the static display. I got the chance to sit in the cockpit (backseat) and do a quick walk around.

Nope wasnt me Luca, I only got the T shirts off the Static display. I was lucky enough to be able to send my box straight to Riat flight ops, so got Rifle and Jim to sign it after the pilots briefing. Sadly never got to mee Rifle in person as he was a little busy with the display flight by the time I got to the Static display. I would guess it was most likely Viper.

Damn Ellis never knew you were there but great photos. I must have walked past you a some stage. Ah well.

I Will be there next yr if anyone fancys meeting up.
