Download Driver Sweeper and install - http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1655 Thereafter uninstall ATI Catalyst from PC. Reboot and run Driver Sweeper and remove rest of ATI driver leftovers. Reboot. Install ATI drivers again and see if that sorts it. Important to use the Sweeper as there are always bits and pieces left. Is the ATI tray tools better then the CCC in terms of all operations, tweaking n stability? Have a look at the tweak guide for info. http://www.tweakguides.com/ATICAT_1.html Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! gizmo Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 Thanks guys for your assistance. I just downloaded the ATI Tray tools and installed it. KillaALF Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Rightclick trayicon - Game Profiles - Manage Profiles. Here's what mine looks like: If you like to have vsync enabled (I don't), you can also force triple buffering: Remember though, that you cannot start the game via profile, but have to use the desktop shortcut for that. This is also the case for Black Shark and Flaming Cliffs 2. As long as there is a profile and provided that it is pointing to the correct *.exe file (the simulation itself, not the launcher) the settings will be applied regardless.

Hi KillaALF Thank u very much for your assistance. I have 1 question,is it ok for me to delete the shortcut from the desktop which was created by the ATI? Will it have any affects of the setup? Thank you Gizmo If you want Peace, be prepared to fight for it ! :pilotfly:
KillaALF Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 You mean a shortcut created with the tray tools? With the button that can be seen on picture 1 and 4? Yeah, you can delete that, it won't work anyway.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Is the ATI tray tools better then the CCC in terms of all operations, tweaking n stability? Thank You & Regards, Gizmo I had the same issue when I updated to the 11.3 drivers. Nothing I tried (and I tried a lot of different things) worked. After weeks of trying one driver remover after another and different downloads and install procedures I ended up re-formatting and re-installing windows and now it works. I'm running the 11.4 drivers and this issue was supposed to be fixed with that release. I'm very skeptical about updating my video drivers at this time. J. Heller Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 All I have ever done was download the new CCC package and then run the installer. It then gives you the option to install or uninstall so I just click uninstall. The uninstal process finishes and you reboot your PC, then click the installer again and select install. There you go, you now have the new drivers. I have been doing it this way for years and have never had an issue. What a nightmare. Everything I tried failed. I'm not alone in this. Google "CCC won't open" or "CCC won't open after upgrade" and You'll find page after page of people with the same issue. Like I said, It took a reformat and reinstall to fix it. XarBat Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 This is sad. I love Driver Sweeper. I would have had a much more difficult time updating my Nvidia Drivers in 2008 and 2009 without it. Anything replacing it?

EMAPhil Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 I too had trouble like this and was tearing my hair out till I found this on the AMD Forum coutesy of Gr33nGecko 1. Download the WICU. 2. Uninstall everything related to ATI/AMD. Control Panel -->> Services -->> AMD External Events Utility -->> Disable / Stop Service .. Command Prompt with elevated permissions --> sc delete "AMD External Events Utility" .. Reboot .. 3. Launch WICU and delete anything related to ATI/AMD/CCC. 4. Delete all ATI/AMD folders in "C:\Program Files" and "C:\Program Files (x86)". 5. While UAC is turned off (Vista/7 only) navigate to the "C:\Windows\Assembly" folder and delete any assemblies which have the public token key "90ba9c70f846762e". It is possible that you won't find any, but check it. 5. Reboot. 6. Install the Catalyst package again. Initially I did every thing but remove the assemblies because I had 91 of them with that token key, but they appeared to be the key to success as everything is working really well now Phil
Mirtma Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Is there something changed? I can't create A10 profile with ATT following instructions on post 5. Pointing on DCS.exe does nothing. hassata Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 11.6 had noticeably worse performence for men but solved flickering for a lot of people (in case you didn't know). [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
