Sorry to disappoint you.

But I kinda feel tired to rework this mod completely with every new update of DCS.

Yes- it is possible to restore the old functionality but it needs much more work as before, but I have the feeling that it will maybe also not last for long because ED seems to be in a process to rework several aspects of the GUI to be compatible on multi-head setups.

And as this process seems not to be completely ended I will wait what next updates will bring before I invest time to have again a look at it.

Feel free to ask in a wishing thread for this or ask via a support-ticket why "simple" things like this aren't supported...

-whatever-

As I wrote here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1579608&postcount=100

It should be possible for you to restore the click function to some degree by using the already provided ahk script and invest some time in editing it to your needs.

Here is a example how I use it right now in 1.2.1 in my setup.

Maybe it gives you some Ideas how to do it on your setup.

attachment.php?attachmentid=72455&stc=1&d=1351243815

It should be even be no problem to do a similar thing on a Helios set-up when you move the GUI to your Helios screen and add triggers that hide the gauges when the briefing is shown or you are in a Radio-conversation.

Just be creative! - the tools are already there.

And the info contained in this thread should give almost everyone the ability to change the Font and size and everything else... - you just have to look it up and make your own research,

>> this info can come in handy: http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=68796&stc=1&d=1343761314

it isn't so hard - it just needs time.

- something I don't have at the moment.

(I got a 30% warning for asking the Devs "inappropriate" things about changes in DCS... - so I'm out of this businesses to "make the world better" and I now only concentrate on "small things"...)

-whatever-

Well , thats crap ..... all your doing is trying to improve on whats already been done . Why you should get a 30% warning is beyond me ..... but know this Peter ..... your work is very much appreciated in the real world .

I fully understand your opinion of reworking something , only for it to change again , but I hope this ED attitude doesnt put you off your mod work .

In fact , maybe they should offer you a job instead of chastigating you !!!

THanks for the answer PeterP, I fully understand too.

+1 here. Peter'sP work is very well recognize within community. Many of us are using ED products because of his help and ability to offer variety of improvements what we are often lacking from ED. If someone should be paid as external ED employee, it's PeterP. Should ED recognizes enthusiasm and professionality by giving warnings, I would love to have some. Hands off of PeterP. He belongs to community, not ED. I don't have a mandate to talk on behalf of community, but this is what i feel. Have great day.

Badger66,

please read rule 1.3.

Would be nice if you edit your post (as I did too) before a Moderator is doing it.

Im not editing nothing ..... if someone wants to edit the truth , then they may do so , and shame on them .

I havent said anything wrong , showing my appreciation to someone for doing his best to make this sim even better than it already is , in his private time and for free .

I dont live in some communist state where I have to tow the line , and the last time I checked , we are still allowed the freedom of speech , and I wont be battered down by some demi God with a moderator button like some Mexican general either .

Plus ..... for asking a question ..... this is just wrong !!! Since when is asking a question wrong , please tell me that !!!

+1 to Dusan 56 too .

So , I dont mean to offend you or your work , but Im not editing anything .

I know its off topic, but +1 for badger

Its really a shame for all the effort you put in your research and modding PeterP :(

Instead of giving away the 100th licence for a new addon, ED should concentrate on the basics

Thanks,

But please stop the chit-chat now. ...,yes, I brought this up myself, but it is OK now - everything is said.

Look in front and not behind.

and:

This doesn't belong in this thread - it only clutters it,

and it is a violation of rule 1.3.

Hi Peter

I know you've mentioned DCS updates keep breaking this but I've been using this or your other mod (can't honestly remember which) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92483&highlight=bigger just for the bigger menus with 1.2.1 but with the new 1.2.2 update DCS crashes when launching BS2 until I restored the default CommandMenu.lua and CommandDialogsPanel.lua.

I'm trying to move to voice control of the radio comms using VAC anyway but it's still nice to be able to actually read the menus as a backup ;)

I will rework this mod to make it compatible with DCS World 1.2.3 if the upcoming 1.2.3 patch comes with no major changes to the menu appearance.

Hi Peter

I get an error when clicking on the radio menu to set the position, although it does write the position to Clickable_Radio_Menu.ini each time I clicked, so it doesn't really matter.

The error is:

Because you move the "Calibration_Tool.exe" to a another folder.

Make short-cuts instead.

Please let all *.exe files in one folder - so they can work as intended.

BTW: RC 04 is out - small bug-fixes that stops the scripts when DCS is not the active window while running the calibration.

No actually. The two .exe and one .ini are all together in the root of DCS World.

...There must be three *.exe files when you downloaded before RC 04.

Calibration_Tool.exe, Click-able_Radio_Menu.exe, Saved.exe

And No, there was never a version with only two exe.

And since RC 04 there must be four...

Now there is also a Error.exe that tells you that something isn't working when you made a mistake during the calibration process.

EDIT:

since RC 05 there are only two *.exe files.

Ah, I see. I created a JSGME folder for it and must have not dragged that .exe from the zip into the folder.

As I said, it seems to work well enough without it though (apart from the error) and the .ini is updated and the fonts are changed, so I'm not sure what it does but I'll put it in place to avoid the error.

RC 05 is up - (;) what a irony: ) - now there are only two exe files, and we are very, very close to a "final" release version.

version RC 04c to RC 05 changes:

-changed Readme.txt

-added "Click here for the Calibration.jpg":

ClickherefortheCalibration_zpsea2f3c95.jpg

-integrated 'Saved.exe' and 'Error.exe' into 'Calibration_tool.exe'.

-Changed file structure of the mod - so the tool has a own folder from the start.

In a nutshell: I made changes to prevent things that happened to Doveman.

:)

Doveman,

Thank you for testing !
