WWhat happened to the next mysterious patch?

Maybe ED's going all the way and in 1109, KA-50s will be available as client aircraft. Hopefully not though, as smaller, more frequent patches allow the community to catch more bugs.

You will need to purchase DCS:Black Shark - will not be flyable in DCS:A-10C Warthog alone. Further thereto and as per the F.A.Q., ED hopes to release a compatibility patch which will ensure online-compatibility between the two modules.

Isn't "hope" supposed to turn into "will" ?

That's the plan - however as previous lessons learned dictate, nothing is ever set in stone.

It was released in an alternate universe.

In this alternate universe, would it be reasonable to assume that the patch offers some performance gains?

Does that mean that BS players will be able to fly along A-10C players online?

That would be the idea of a compatability patch, yes.

No, it will enable the 'Secret Recipes of the Luftwaffe' game mode, where players have to cook a 4-star-menu while dogfighting in their authentic WW2 planes.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Sure did, however in that particular universe mankind has been hunted down to extinction by a mysterious alien crablike race with claws for hands. Unfortiunatly for them these claw-hands lack the proper number of digits, making them poorly suitable for manipulating the HOTAS joystick. Thus these performance gains where never properly enjoyed by anyone except for a small number of radioactive but highly intelligent monkeys who survived the initial nuclear assault by hiding deep in the lush jungles of Borneo.
